ptsd Diagnosis/c&p
If a vet has already been diagnosed by VA shrinks repeatedly as having PTSD and has been receiving treatment through VA for 8 to 10 years -- will this vet still have to have a C&P exam for PTSD in order to be rated ? Thanks, carlie

Moved And Changing Vamc's
Has anyone had any experience changing care from one VAMC to another. We are trying to accomplish this but we are having quite a challenge. I thought once you were in the VA system you could be seen at any VA clinic or hospital, all you had to do was show your VA card and wait in urgent care or sign up and get an appointment. It seems having been in the system and having a VA card is not good enough, you need to carry around the DD-214 too. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Any advise on how th change doctors and clinincs? Jangrin

ptsd Another 100% P & T
My Navy friend has been on Compensation since 1994. He has filed for Service Connection for PTSD numerous times. Saturday he finally got good news 100% P & T. This is the first time he has been Service Connected. Over the years many of you have answered questions that I posed about subjects that were related to his claim. Mike Harris, about 3 years ago told me this vet should have a Combat Action Ribbon (CAR) & told me where to go to verify. We submitted this info, but VA said not on DD214, so was denied. After more VA BS got him a DD215 listing the CAR. I know this seems long way to say thanks, but it is the best news I've had in LONG Time & it has not been…

Cue Claim And Claim For Secondary Condition
I called the VA today regarding a claim for arterioscelorisis secondary to DMII. I already had a CUE claim and a claim for ED. The VA phone guy told me they would probably wait and rate all three claims together. That does not really make sense to me since the CUE is based on the record of 35 years ago and in no way is going to generate a C&P exam whereas the other two conditions may generate C&P exams. I expect the CUE to come whizzing back at me with "denied" written all over it. The other two claims I think the VA will have to at least give me an exam and look at the medical records since both conditions are common to DMII. If they wait and rate all thre…

Rating The Ro
I have seen rate the service officer. Now I want to see if it would be feasible to compile a list of RO's and rate them accordingly. The Information could be kept on a data base and Vets can add their opinions. This would be a tool for Vets to see what they are up against. It would be a good thing if it is legal. Any opinions from Hadit Vets. We could do something like this as this is an example only and only contains my opinion in case The VA is looking in. louisville Ky: manager (name of SCM) 1: This RO adjudicated my claim and made a favorable decision and it took 16 months from start to finish. 2: This RO denied my claim and I appealed which the BVA…

ptsd 50% Ptsd On Appeal
I recently got a copy of my medical records from the local va. As I suffer from ptsd, my memory is not very good. I had forgotten about visiting va shrinks in 05-20- 97 through 2001. I have six reports through this period. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF PTSD UNTIL 9-11 When my symtoms exploded and I went to the va for help.I know I wouldn't have lasted another week had I not gone. ( I know many of you can relate ) I was unoficially ad vised to file for ptsd. It took a year of treatment to learn what it was befor I filed a claim. I was awarded 30% without a c&p in 3 mos. my rep sent a nod , I then had a c&p exam. I remember the shrink telling me if I wouldn" tell him in d…
