Va Won't Pay My Husbands Hospital Bills
Hello all, just wanted to know why the Va. will not pay the entire amount to the hospital my husband was in for last year after he had his heart attack. I called the number and told them in the right time frame. And he was 100% in threat for his life. I made sure I did everything they say you need to do to inform them, our doctor even told them he had to have this done now or he would not make it. I found the progress note in the many I have collected over the last 2years. It was a phone call from our doctor to the VA. and it says he would be approved and singed by chief medical officer of Fee services. And here is my question, the va has only paid a few thousand on a…

1151 C&p Update
I finally got the results of my 1151 eye C&P I was surprised that the VA doctor who examined me did not in any way try to say the VA was not at fault. He stated that I have light perception only in my right eye and that my left eye has sever loss of vision field.. I am hoping that this C&P was more for the purposes of rating than denying. nothing negative was said at all much to my surprise. I kind of figured they would try to pull something and make it as negative as possible. Guess now we wait and see what happens next. Sure wish I knew how they would rate this do they rate on the loss they caused me or on the eye I have left. Berta gave me a guess on this a …

tdiu Request Help With Condensing Claim, Advice About Tdiu, Eed, Cue, Afu
Dear Vets, Thanks for being there. Plan to help others when I prove myself capable. Am in Oregon. PVA is POA. I been working on this for about 25 years now. Largely successful, ie, about 95 percent disabled all together, HNP is under Code 5293. Depression under "dysthimia". Got TDIU VA granted all back to 1993. Have spinal cord disease from injection of metrizamide inservice, 1980. Also the Military docs operated, 1980, 1981, on the wrong disc twice, admitted it in writing once. The right disc to date has never been operated upon, and according to VA in 1996, is inoperable due to the spinal cord disease arachnoiditis. The nerves in my cauda equina (spina…

diabetes Billing Question?
I go to the VA and for over nine months I was not charged for my diabetes prescriptions. Then in August I got a bill of over $350. Now my problem. When I got my bill after so long a time I called and talked to the VA Patient Representative. I was told by her and the billing employee she had me contact that I owed nothing. I was told to ignore the bill and if I received another one to let them know. I didn't receive another bill for a couple months and then got a threatening letter saying that I could have any government pay or income tax refund attached for the amount I owe. However, after talking to the Patient Representative again I was told that she remembered ta…

This Can't Be Bad
Called the 1000 # a week or so ago and was told my file was with the adjudicator and that it would be about three months till I heard from them. Called today and was told my file is with the reveiw supervisor and to expect notification in about a week. WHAT? I haven't had a recent C&P exam. But then, they should have enough for a partial decision. That would help while I straiten the rest out. And I did tell Senator Craig's office that I was about to lose my house and I planned on living here till I died. That my records were in order and available to the public. Maybe that helped. Well, I don't have anything yet. Cross fingers. And a BIG Thanks to all on …

How Many Va Claims Files Exist On One Veteran?/where To Verify New Rating %?
I've been told that there is just one VA claims file that exists on each veteran. As the veteran files a claim with the RO and then, assuming it's denied, the claim moves through the appeals process to the Board and then to the Court, the file moves along with it. We just had a Board hearing in October. We've got appeals filed at the RO level, two remands at the Appeals Management Center, and a hearing pending with the Court on several items the Board denied. I'm confused as to just where this file is, and I guess we're causing our own delay at the Court level because of the other issues pending? Also, we're trying to get verification of my husband's rating as of t…

Questions On Seperation Pay And Compensation
I was awarded 10% SC for Severe Lower back sprain during active duty (USN 1984-1992) I was Denied 2nd re-enlistment due to Overfat status and given Seperation pay of about 6,700.00 Va states that I have to pay the seperation pay back then I will receive full benefits. I was honrably discharged with Medical code 3T This does not make sense to me I was denied re-enlistment for Overfat status not back injury But Back injury did ultimately cause me to be overwieght as I could not perform as best I could but passed the Yearly PT test Anyone encountered this situation Thanks for any advice , Joe

New Orleans Varo
I just received a certified return receipt in the mail yesterday for a claim filed for my husband this past summer with the New Orleans VARO. The NOLA VARO shut down due to Hurricane Katrina, and I thought the Muskogee OK VARO was handling all Louisiana claims. I checked the VA website and didn't find anything about this. I heard that the NOLA VARO intended to relocate to Gretna, LA and open on December 1st, but haven't seen anything to confirm this. Does anyone here know more about this?

C & P For Osteoarthritis With Underlying Disbaric Osteoneucrosis
I have a pending appeal for the above degenerative bone disease. I admit I'm a train-wreck! This disease is directly related to years of extensive, deep, saturation diving. Now while waiting for the appeal hearing I get another C & P where perhaps it will be completly and satisfactually resolved or denied again. Dead bone in the joints is no small issue. This is such a rare disease that probably no one out there has knowledge of it. Only a very few <10 "subjects" were diving to 650 fsw extensively around the world, now I'm seeing the consequences of all that fun. With or without medication I am in pain even while lying in bed. I'm fine after rest for a few …
