Make Sure Paperwork Is Turned In
as most folks are saying ,lawyer up after your first turndown. while thqt is good advice i did the same thing and in between my first turn down and second turn down i too lawyered up. i received 100% sc disability in that time frame along with a housebound decision as well....sounds good only my lawyer did not turn the paperwork into the ss office. though they did make sure to send in the paperwork saying they were representing me. the moral of the story is if any service member has navigated the way through the va on their own. chances are they have better organizational skills then they give themselves credit for and make sure you still cover your own @#$ i feel i ha…

Ticket To Work
I was just surprise to see my introduction to TTW. Since I haven't even received my first check. I am disable, my concern is the way they word it. If you don't go with the program and we initiate medical review you might be in deep kimchi. (my interpretation) I just got thru two and a half year fight to get my disability. does that mean I have to continue the fight with Dr's to document every visit with words that most Dr. do not even want or care to do. This seems to me more stress on me again because as the ALJ put it. My case is not one on that meets listed impairments. But I am fully favorable to me. I am 53 with much impairments. What should I do? If I could I will b…

Social Security Is Giving Me The Run Around
I filled out paperwork after my first denial january 12th. I was given three options, a review of my records, informal conference or formal conference. I chose the informal, now social security is telling me that they don't have to do that that my claim is not in the appeals process which it is. So they are going to do this without a hearing. Im gonna raise hell on tuesday

Social Security Doctor Said I Can Not Hold A Job
I applied for social security in July 2009, I had two doctor evaluations. The phychologist said I was unable to work and suffer from severe depression. The other Doctor; Dr Sherman flat out lied in his evaluation. He asked me how much I could lift and I told him my 3 current Doctors do not recommend more than 5 pounds, he put down 25 to 50 lbs. I have had four surgeries on my knees and need a complete knee replacement. He put down that I could bend and move my knees with no problem. He asked me to squat and I told him I could not, he put down in the report that I did not squat but later said I could squat with no problem. He took a couple xrays and reported nothing wr…

Is It To Late To Apply For Ssdi
I’m a 100 percent disabled vet , service connected. I’m nearly deaf and have two hearing aids now which help some, but still can hear some with them, but not much. We’ll the VA gave me 100 percent in 2001 is it too late to apply for SSDI? I have seen the rules on SSDI, I think it was that I would have to be employed 5 years out of 10 years. Is this correct? I just wondered because, if your disabled and applying late would that rule apply? It doesn’t make sense in my case. I did go to social security after I was awarded by the VA, but was told I would not qualify for anything and not to apply. No help at all from the SS. Well in 2006 same thing again. I never ev…

ptsd Ssdi Denial
Sad day, I got a denial letter..I filed for PTSD Depression Back Injury Left Ankle Injury/Arthritis Sleep Apnea the determined that my condition is not severe enough to keep me from working due to my age (25), education, training, and work experience. Although I experience pain the medical evidence shows that i'm able to walk and move about in a satisfactory manner without the use of an assistive device (i use a cane what the heck) they said my sleep apnea isnt disabling and that even though i may be depressed and suffer from PTSD at times, my records show that i'm able to think, communicate and act in my own interest. The evidence shows im able to adjust …

Expedited Just Because Of Dates Of Military Service?
Went and took care of the SSd claim today...Found out some crazy info, Turns out if you are a veteran who has served after 9/11 I think thats the date or its something to do with the war but you get my drift... my meds fuzzied it up , then your claim is put to the front of the list, Sounds a little unfair to me even though I fall into that category. But the man assured me they try to get them out and completed in 90 days or less? anyone else ever heard of this?.
