Nexus Letter From Neurosurgeon
Hi, Im service connected at 30%, broken down its 20% for left knee partial pattellectomy, and 10% for hypertention. I got out in January of 2000 and started having issues with my back and went to our local ER. The Dr noted that "the patient is a 32 year old male with right hand numbness and left shoulder pain that radiates into the neck, that could be consistent with radiculpathy." Between the VA clinics and local hospitals I have been seen 25 times in 11 years for this problem. I recently had surgery on New years Eve of last year for cervical radiculpathy at C-6 and C-7. My neurosurgeon wrote a letter stating the following, " I reviewed his significant number of prior m…

ptsd Now What Happens
I have had 3 C and P exams done by MES Solutions (company the VA contracts with for exams). I had one done for hearing loss, one for issues with my ankle and one for PTSD. I have not heard anything and I am getting worried. I thought that once all of the exams were done I would receive some documentation from the VA in regard to my ratings. Just curious what happens now and if there is a general time frame until I know anything.

Overseas C&p Exams
Hello Vets, I'd like to get the opinion of folks here who have experience with or knowledge of he overseas C&P process. Here's what happened to me: I retired in 2007 and armed with the knowledge from my retirement/seperation briefings went to excruciating lengths to make sure that my medical records were accurate and thorough regarding everything that I was claiming disability for. When submitted my disability claim, I clearly asked the VA rep taking my claim if anything would be needed from me as I was moving overseas. The lady looked over my claim and medical records and told me that everything was there and that nothing more would be needed to process my claim. S…

ptsd Ptsd Report
Yesterday the Doctor told me that it would not be until Jan 2011 before she thinks the VA will get back to me. I thought that would be too fast for the VA. What I would like to know is how soon should I ask gthis Doctor for a copy of the report that she will send to the VA? Or, do I have to wait until she sends it to the VA, and get it from the VA? Papa

ptsd Qtc Mental Health Exam
Tomorrow I have my C&P exam at a QTC Contracted Shrink. At my first QTC exam, a noted Shrink examined me, and concluded that I had PTSD and the VA rated me at 30 percent. I have looked up the Doctor's bio that will exam me tomorrow, and she does not have near the experience that the first Doctor has in examining Vietnam Vets. I did email the first doctor and told him that I was having some major issues, and he was not much help, but it seems like a short time after that was when I got a notice for the exam!!! I have a major issue with trust. I do not trust Government doctors, and please a QTC is under contract, so they will do whatever the VA tells them. Pap…

ptsd Gonna Get Screwed Again
Ok here we go. I went to my C&P exam today at mental health. I explained that my condition had began in Sept 2009 when my initial disability (knees) forced me out of work for 6 months. Due to hard economic issues and feelings of inadequency and all the stress and depression that comes with it. I even came 10 days from having my house forclosed. Then when my employer found a light duty position I could do I was verbal and publically attacked, humiliaed and taunted. This harsh treatment went on for 24 days and I was back out of work for what my medical Doctor called severe stress and severe anxiety. I just had a total breakdown on the day he diagnosed this. I was sent t…

Just Back From C&p (Mental Health)
Just got back from my C&P examination, and I was a nervous wreck for weeks prior to. Now, I found out that it was not as bad as I imagined. Most of the credit goes to the wonderful people on this board for the encouragement and advice. The Doctor ask me why was I there, since the VA already has the report from the first Shrink. I told her that I really do not know, but had emailed the first Doctor, and ask for advice, and told him that I was getting worse. She said that this Doctor, who she knew and actually was a partner with for about 10 years, may have sent something to the VA. Told her that I had to retire because I could no longer focus, and since I was a w…

New Claims (Round Iv)
With my already service connected DDD in my C-Spine, I have now an IMO/E letter to the VA through the DAV and used it to just now file for Vertigo, Migraines and Radicular pain in my left shoulder, all secondary to the DDD. While I know that it will be some time before the VA gets back to me with exam dates, I will continue to visit here, offer encouragement and continue to read and learn as much as I can. PS: For the migraines and dizziness, I have been charting them for several months now. George
