ptsd Mst / Ptsd Covered Up - 2 Years Into Claims Process
I will try to make this as straight to the point as possible without triggering. I have been patient and have waited over two years up until now without making a fus. I've HAD IT. My case should be very cut and dry as I have a pile a mile high of evidence to support my claim, however the VA denied. (Air Force) In 2004 I was sexually harassed by my supervisor. The Military Equal Opportunity office got involved and opened a case against him. After a one month investigation, he was CHARGED with 4 counts of sexual harassment and one count of discrimination. He was then DEMOTED in rank. I then seperated from the military. Honerable Discharge. Within 6 months,…

ptsd Ptsd/back Injury
Hi everyone: This is my first time here. I have been trying to get my service connection for about 10 years now and learned today that my appeal that went to Washington was approved for the PTSD. I called that 18008271000 number and found this out. It was approved in Nov. but because of a mixup in my address my letter was returned. I then called the Washington office and they told me that it was approved for Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia. I have the PTSD/Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia that I got from Social Security in 1998. I don't know when I will get this letter but I was wondering about what the percentage might be from other who have gotten approved on the Panic …

ptsd Extension Of Time Period Or Withdraw Claim?
Hello, this is my first post. I really don't understand the process of filing a claim but I have mainly two questions. I submitted a form stating that I had additional materials to submit as evidence for a PTSD claim due to military sexual assault; however it has been about ten months and as I understand it I only have a year to submit this information. I have tried to dig up some information and a mixture of failures and just plain avoidance of the issue helped me get frustrated and discouraged. My questions are: 1. Can I request an extension to submit evidence or withdraw my claim for PTSD in order to file later after I have hopefully gathered information (sworn…

ptsd Had My Ptsd Eval Yesterday
Well I had my PTSD eval at the VA. The letter I received from the VA said to bring my DD214 with me and expect the evaluation to last about 4 hours or so. They never even asked me for my DD214 and didn't last nowhere close to 4 hours. I saw a nurse practitioner first for about an hour and he asked me all sorts of questions about my experiences in Iraq and pretty much what life was like before and after deployment and what was going on now. At any rate, after speaking with the nurse practitioner, I then spoke with the psychiatrist which only lasted for about maybe 15 minutes at best. He asked a few questions and that was it. He said that he was gonna go through the n…

ptsd Suggestion From My Vso
I had an appointment with my VSO yesterday to file a claim for DMII and glaucoma. When we finished up the details for my claim, I asked him if he thought I should file a claim for PTSD. He sat back in his chair and said, well Jeff, how do you feel right now. I told him I feel like I always do, depressed. I explained to him that I don't enjoy being around people and that I've lost most or all interest in things I used to enjoy years ago. I've had this feeling for years... I told him I'm on cymbalta and that my doctor had incresed my dosage because of suicidal thoughts. I've been on anti depressants for over 10 years. I also told him my wife told me I'm not the man she marr…

Sir; Ms: This is probably the wrong location to ask this question, but how can medals, awards, and the orders for these medals be replaced? I have contacted several Army offices, but they pass my request on to another area. Does any know about an Army office or agency that can cut through the bueacracy and help me secure those medals? The children have asked if I too have received awards Thanks. James Happy Holidays!

ptsd At The Rating/review Board
I applied for IU/PTSD April 2009 and at that time was at 30%. The review board has received "all" info needed on Dec. 10th 2009. Any idea how long it takes to make a decision once the board gets everything? This question/answer is probably here somewhere, I searched without results. Also, if awarded, does the retro check come at the same time? God Bless John1
