This Is Interesting To Say The Least!
My awards letter for IU dated May 8th states: We have assigned a permanent 100% disability evaluation for service connected disabilities effective November 13, 2012. No examination will be scheduled in the future for your total and permanent disabilities. I met with the Regional Rep. today for my Commissary Letter. The computer states that I am 80% being paid at the 100% rate and that an examination would be scheduled for 2016. WHAT THE ####!!!!!!! We had just met with my SO on Friday last and she went over all the new benefits. Gave me a list of things that my wife and I needed to do and she went on vacation until next week. Gee do you think someone …

tdiu Tdiu And Earliest Effect Date
When someone is granted a % for a disability that meets the min Req to file for IU and its was attached to the Award letter and you file it. What is the effect date for that IU claim? The date you filed IU or the Date that you met the min requirements to file in my case 3 years prior. And if you were going to file a NOD would it be on the IU claim itself stating I agree with everything except the Effective date? And maybe tell them exactly why it should go back? Thanks for all and any responses.

Filing For Tdiu & Ssdi
Hello fellow vets! Back in 2008 I filed for ssdi after having filed my first c&p claim (2007) and was denied the ssdi I feel due to my first open claim for c&p award came in 2008 for only primary SC condt--10% rating of TBI w/residuals, secondary SC condt--0% for depression wasnt enuff for ssdi to be awarded to me. In 2009, I appealed both c&p (2008) award and ssdi (2008) denial and I was once again denied ssdi in 2009 for a 2nd time but was awarded an increase in SC Disb & Comp: 2007 Combined rating 40% increased in 2010 Combined rating 80% Primary SC Condt: TBI w/residuals (too many to name) frm 10% to 70% Sec SC Condt: Depression 0% to 30% for D…

tdiu 100% Schedular Vs 70% W/ Tdiu, And Entitlement To Dea
Is it correct to assume that if granted 100% scheduler for mental health conditions, the veterans children would still not be eligible for DEA until possibly 5 years later, when (and if) the condition is determined to be static and he is granted P&T? But if granted TDIU while at 70%, the dependence would immediately be eligible for DEA?

tdiu Just Awarded 70%...
I was just awarded 70% and the BBE states the TDIU was pending. Ebenefits shows gathering evidence...how long does it usually take for them to process? I should also mention that I filed the TDIU form with my claim so that part has already done...

Great News
I just received notification from the VA that I have been awarded a permanent 100% disability evaluation effective November 2012 under IU. It states that no future examination will be scheduled in the future for your permanent and total disabilities. I am grateful to all that answered my questions and motivated me to stick with it and put up with some whining about the system. If I can be of help to anyone in the future please don't hesitate to ask. I am not an expert, but I can tell you what they required and how it was done. Thanks to all again! The sun is finally shinning over our house!

Major Depressive Disorder Claim, Thinking Of Filing Ssd
I would be interested in anything anyone might share that could help. I have a FDC filed 10 months ago. Since active duty, my condition has gotten worse and worse over the years. I now can't hold a job and have been unemployed 35% of the time since release from active duty. I always get fired because of my disability & none will hire me because of my record of being fired (because of my disability) so many times. Last time I was unemployed for over 18 months straight and right now am unemployed for going on 6 months. I may never be able to get a job again. I am unemployable and submitted evidence to show this. As of today, 'Eben' says 'final review complet…

Question
I just received retro for my daughter going to school. This was attached to my unempoloyability claim. Does this mean I was turned down for unempoloylabilty? Also the amount for the retro seems low as it was for two years. I know I receive almost $300.00 for my son.
