tdiu Commissary & Exchange Privileges
How do I know if I am eligible for this benefit? Received package and sent off request. Got letter indicating I'm not a 100% except by TDIU. I thought that counted also. If not, that would be reason to continue filing for additional benefits. So, I was sent paperwork for ChampVA and everything else for no reason...confused?

Ro Recommended Iu
Hello all, I recieved a call from VA and I was told I have an initial disability rating at 80%. I am not sure how it is broke down yet, but mostly back issues, sciatica etc. I was told that RO suggested I file for IU. Is it the norm to wait for the VA decision on it before trying to file for SSD? Can I file for SSD?

diabetes Ssdi-retired Military
I read Hadit on a nightly basis and have posted once before. This is my second posting, and I really appreciate the helpful replies to my first post. I am a 60 year military retiree who has been recently terminated from my civilian job. I am VA disabled-70% PTSD, 20% diabetes, & a mulitude of 10% ratings which combines for 90%. Will my retired military pension preclude me from drawing SSDI, or will it result in a reduction in the amount of SSDI? I am also applying for unemployability as well. I also have private disablity insurance (took it out years ago), but have not persued that yet. Thanks for your help. Cavtrooper088

Question On 21-4140 Form
I just sent in my 21-4140 to my DAV NSO to be given to VA, I'am 100% IU since 2002 and they payed me from 1998 on a remand from DC VA appeals dept.I'am worried that I will get a c&p exam.,On my award in the little box where it says future exams,It says NONE in capital letters,The NSO says it is P&T as do others I also got the forms for benifits for people with P&T and they state it on the paperwork,I am 53 and been awarded ssdi also because it said I was unable to work due to my SC disabilities,70 % arthritic pelvis and knees and 30% adjustment disorder secondary to the 70%, I go to the VA all the time but lately cause of the gas situation , missed a few appoi…

21-8940 Question
Maybe I asked this here before, if so, forgive me. Can someone give me an understanding on section II block 14? Does that mean the date I became 'too disabled to work' from fulltime work? or any work at all? The reason I ask is because block 12 and 13 clearly state fulltime employment and work. The date SSDI recognized as my disability start date is more recent. The date I was unable to work fulltime was many years ago. I could write a statement explaining and add it to block 24. Any ideas? Am updating 21-8940 for dro.Thank you~! Cg'up2009!

tdiu Form 21-8940
I am going to apply for an increase in disability compensation in the near future based on unemployability. I have a couple of questions for any one who might have soime insight. I am currently at 70% with several service connected problems. As I understand it, 40% of that 70% comes from one problem. I have recently ( about a month) asked for a re-valuation based on additional problems with 40% problem. So I think I should be eligible. Question 1. Should I wait for a determination on the most recent request before I send in the 21-8940? Question 2. I have had 4 surgeries since December 2006. Two were toe amputations and were out patient. 2 were foot bone rem…

tdiu Tdiu
Question... When a Vet receives TDIU benefits, will all of his dependents also receive the Champa or any other full health insurance? Has anyone who was on TDIU, waited, and got their status automatically changed to P&T?
