VA choose mine for me too. It says American Legion on ebenefits but its the WV State Veterans Affairs office that is handling everything for me so I'm kinda confused right now myself. I guess I should figure this out...

I guess the only thing I can do is wait it out. It sux but I have no other choice. The bad thing is, I probably won't have anything left when I do get it back. I'm behind on my house now, phone were shut off on the 28th and have disconnects on several other bills. What do they expext a veteran to do when they take over two thousand dollars a month from his check. Its been 7 months and it's gonna be impossible to get myself out of the hole this has put my family in. I will definietly let you know how this turns out. Also, I sent the IRIS on the 22nd and have not got any reply from them at all.

Stretch...I haven't been given any exact reason other than, Oh looks like we received everything on time and were not sure why it was taken and it will be reinstated any day now. Every person I've talked to has said the same thing. My representative said he hasn't never seen anything like this before. Sorry it took so long to respond to your comment, I've somehow overlooked it.

I did a IRIS a week ago today but have not had any reply back. How long does it take for them to get in touch with you? It says, "you should hear from VA within 5 days". My question is...do they usually take more than 5 days and what should I do if I dont hear from them?

I think she may be just what the VA needs to get on the right track. Too many veterans out there having trouble financially while waiting years for a claim to process through. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what she brings to the table.

Ohh man!! I sure hope that doesn't happen to you. I know 1st hand how much it affects a vet and family. Someone told me that when I get mine back to put in a claim for P&T so they wouldn't be able to do that anymore. You may want to consider the same. Im guessing it would have been VA logging into your acct. Ive never looked at account activity. I havent never thought about doing it but I'm going to now. Thanks for the idea... Good Luck to you on your claim!!!

I don't know what a IRIS is. My representative called today and said she talked to someone at my RO and that person said it was in the last stage of the rating phase, whatever that means. I'm at a loss of words at the moment and don't know where to go from here.

Im not sure where to go from now. Im so frustrated. Its going on 7 months with my pay messed up and I'm about to lose it. Thanks VA, my kids are really suffering because of this.. ***sigh...***

Congratulations!!! I love when I log in and see success stories! Gives me hope that they will get my pay and percentage fixed soon. 6 months is a long time to wait on them to fix a mistake. I'm so Happy for you!!

Yesterday made 3 weeks since I talked to my repreasentive. She said the guy she talked to at my RO told her to tell me it should be done any day now. Should I call back. I try not to aggregate then.

I talked to my representative (American Legion) two weeks ago today. She said she talked to the guy at my RO which is in Huntington WV. He said that he can see the VA made a mistake and everything would be reinstated and it should be any day now. My question is...What is their "any day now". My "any day now" was 6 months ago. I don't know how long I should wait to contact them again.

I'm afraid to call any senators ect. Ive heard lots of stories that it only slows down the process of a claim. My wife is friends with a senator here in my home state. Im just not sure if contacting him would help or hurt me.

Has anyone else received a application in the mail for new VA health care? I got one in the mail today and it says all veterans has to apply. Just wondering if anyone else got one.

I didnt mean the claim was closed and completed. I meant the deadline to get my evidence turned in.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. VA says they mailed the form in Sept but I never received it. In Jan I did receive a letter saying my pay would be decreased if I didnt send the form back to them by the end of the month. I was told it would be mailed that day. After a week and it hadn't showed up in the mail I called back and was told another one would be mailed out. I never got it either so I called back Jan 22 and had them fax it to me. I filled it out and faxed it back immediately (which shows in VA computer). I called to make sure they got it and was told they did so I wasn't worrying anymore. March 1st my check was $2100 short. I called my regional office and was told I never sent it in. After a few minutes the lady found the mistake. After I faxed it in, the lady never sent to my regional office. I was told it would take 3 months to get it fixed and well....its now August and it still isn't fixed. I don't know what to do or where to go now. Ive had all documentation turned in since March and did another C&P exam in April. I also receive social security benefits and haven't had any employment since 2002. None of my disabilities have got any better, only worse and I had lots of documentation proving that which I've sent in to them. I only see VA doctors so I'm a little confused on what the long delay is.

My claim says, administrative review on ebenfits. What does that mean? I had my 100% unemployeability but it was taken from me because of a VA mistake and I have now had to reissue everything. Everyone I talk to from my VSO to the regional office say, "we can see it was an error on our behalf and should be done any day now". My claim date on ebenefits says Jan 22. I had to do another C&P exam the first of April and have had all my documents turned in since March. Ebenefits says everything was closed in May but I still haven't received anything other than the phone call I got 2 weeks ago from my VSO saying "any day now". Im stressed and dont know what to do. I have 3 kids going back to school in 2 weeks and another child who has been going to college the past 2 years on ch. 35 but I don't know if he can continue to use ch. 35 or not. If anyone has ever had this happen or has knowledge of this, please let me know. Thanks!!
