  1. Congrats Suedel. Keep fighting the fight until you are satisfied with the end resort.
  2. Rating phase and prep for decision phase is the same thing.
  3. I hope you are wrong but I have to agree with you. Pay on Nov 1st isnt looking very good right now. VA already has me in a financial bind as it is from losing 2/3 of the pay I've been getting for several years. Not getting anything will put me from hot water to boiling!!
  4. Every time I type "Administrative Review" in the search, it says, nothing found. My claim says Administrative Review and I've been trying to find out exactly what it means for months but I still dont know.
  5. I've noticed that there hasn't been very many success stories in the past week on here. The first week of the shut down there seemed to be more claims getting completed than usual and now it looks like it's at a stand still. I hope this isn't the case but it isn't looking too good.
  6. My RO is Huntington WV. I haven't heard anybody say if they are still working or not. All this political mumbo jumbo is starting to get old.
  7. Tr8 and Harleyman I appreciate all your hard work and all the work you put into this site. It really means a lot knowing there are people from the distant lands (RO Offices) that actually care about Veterans. Thank you for all you do!!
  8. I just tried to log in and it says web page unavailable.
  9. I'm guessing they must still be working if people have moved to completed phase today. Maybe my RO will get around to my claim soon. Probably not but it's a good thought. Lol!!
  10. Congrats!!! Thats a big win and it's great news! Sometimes strangers can be more happy for ones than their own family and friends. I for one, am very happy for you!!
  11. I read this on VA's website. Appropriations Lapse Plan The President, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs and the administration strongly believe that a lapse in appropriations should not have occurred on October 1, 2013, and Congress should act to fund critical Government operations. During the government shutdown, VA medical centers, clinics and other health services have advance appropriations for 2014 and will remain open. VA has funds available to ensure claims processing and payments in the compensation, pension, education, and vocational rehabilitation programs will continue through late October. However, in the event of a prolonged shutdown, claims processing and payments in these programs will be suspended when funds are exhausted.VA has produced a 2-page information sheet, the Veterans Field Guide to Government Shutdown, which summarizes all of the services that will be available and those that will be impacted by potential lapse in appropriations. This file will be updated as needed. The department’s detailed contingency plan is also available below. Just thought I'd share.
  12. Congrats!!! They seem to be getting the ball moving during this shut down. Keep the fight going until you are where you want it to be.
  13. I just went to check out the ebenefits website and I didn't see anything showing that it was unavailable. Is it back up and running again?
  14. Congratulations!! I've seen other people say that the date that shows in ebennies is not accurate. So I wouldn't let that get in the way of that great feeling you have today of winning your claim. When the bbe comes in the mail it will most likely have the correct date on it. Congrats to you again!!!
  15. Good Luck to you guys! I'm hoping to give you all a big congrats!! Ive been in prep for decision since the 1st week of April. Hoping mine isn't much longer.
  16. Hoping you've got some info by now and to be able to give you a congrats! Let me know when you find out. Hopefully it wont be much longer if you haven't already found out by now.
  17. Thats good to know. I just really hate to see another Vet go through what I am going through. Thanks for the info!!
  18. Congrats on your win!! Seeing new success stories makes me hopeful on my own claim. Just always make sure you send in those questionare forms every year. I had my 100% unemployeability for several years and never knew I had to send one in as I never received anything from VA saying I needed to. In other words, I was never aware of it. Well...VA was going to take my 100% because they say I never sent in the form. I had until Feb 1st to get it to them. I faxed it in on Jan 22nd and even called to make sure they received it and was confirmed that they did. They took it anyway saying it was a VA computer error but made me refile my paperwork all over. I just domt ever want to see another Veteran go through what my family has over that form. Congrats again!
  19. Awesome news!!! Congrats!
  20. I've had a hard week this week. I was reading through the last few posts and read this. It brightened my spirits and put my mind back on track. Hope all is well with you!
  21. I sent a IRIS on Sept 10th. I received a response on the 23rd that says, At this time your RO is taking approximately 9 months to completely process claims with some taking longer if more evidence is needed. My question is, my claim date says Jan 22 and all evidence has been turned in since April including my C&P exam I had the first week of April. It says on ebenies I went to rating decision phase May 18. Would the time they are referring to start Jan 22 or May 18? My claim is a pretty simple one. Im just trying to figure out how much longer I'm going to have to go through this insane mental procedure the VA likes to put us through. It doesn't give an estimated time on ebenies for my claim and it says Administrative Review .
