  1. Thanks Buck, I have my first VA C&P exam on Tuesday for both claims. Other than asking me to correct my bank routing number and dependants statement, they have asked for nothing from me.
  2. Ha...John, don't candy coat it, say what you feel. This administration has shown they react to whistleblowers, regardless of motive.
  3. Can I claim Hadit Nerd secondary to tinnitus? I wanted to ensure my 100th posting was worthwhile.
  4. Ha...I got it! Statement In Support Of Claim (SISOC). Geez, I'm becoming a Hadit nerd.
  5. For what it's worth, I know very little concerning VA disabilities and the complexities of a successful legitimate claim. I'm just muddling my way through my claim, with the expert help from some of you. However, do not underestimate this administration's efforts at exposing folks that are taking advantage of the system. It keeps money in the government coiffures and perhaps acts as a deterrent for others; thus unclogging the system. I might be looking under the bed for boogeymen, but look at the unprecedented number of IRS investigators that have been hired in the last 8 years. Regardless, I should think you have no worries if you have a righteous claim.
  6. Gastone, thanks a lot for your comments and especially your recommendations. I'll check out 38 CFR 4, but I'm not O2, although I use the CPAP exclusively. It has really helped. Yea, I'm only cautiously optimistic concerning the EFT stuff. There was one number off on my routing#. I disagree with your assessment of my Dr.'s SISOC, however. The 1st para deals with my current sleep study. The entire 2nd para speaks to the sleep study in my SMR. Did I get that acronym right? I'm still scratching my head as to what SISOC means.
  7. Yea, sounds like bs to me also. If they were investigating, she wouldn't know. I did read an interesting article yesterday though: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2016/08/25/how-this-iraq-war-veteran-lied-his-way-to-a-purple-heart-and-750000-in-disability-benefits/?utm_campaign=Early Bird 8.26.16&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Sailthru im not surprised that Uncle Sam is hiring more investigators. There is a significant upswing in fraudulent claims.
  8. And, attached are the redacted docs. Claim Details 8-27-16.pdf Dr Ltr SC for OSA.pdf
  9. After I post something, how long does it take for others to see it? I have been a subscriber for 3 months, if this helps with an answer.
  10. So, I woke up to encouraging news from e-benefits. It still says gathering dust, but it's asking for two things from me: One is to update my Finacial institution immediately. We can only pay EFT or pre-paid Credit Card. The second was to update some form that deals with my dependants. It looks like something is happening. I will post redacted copies when I get to my desktop later today. I also owe a copy of my Dr's nexus letter. I hope some of this helps other legitimate claim veterans.
  11. Thanks, I will receive the packet by mail. I only got a cover letter via e-mail.
  12. Buck, the letter is from and asking me to report to the Compensation and Pension Clinic: 3110 Camino Del Rio South, San Diego. Is this a QTC? it's for a: 1 Mv. Med Gass . Status: Future Whatever that means.
  13. Thanks Buck, roger that. I'm unfamiliar with the term QTC. I will know better when I get the e-mail/mail request with address. My work spam filter picks up most new correspondence so it could be hours before I see the e-mail. Do these things typically involve a physical?
  14. For anyone following this thread, I received a phone call today to setup my C&P exams for a week from Tuesday. Interestingly, they called and they are following up with an e-mail and USPS notification.
  15. Yep, thanks Tbird...I've been a subscriber since June 10. Worth every penny.
  16. Gastone, this is helpful comment that I'm taking the liberty of reposting. Can anyone offer a brief explanation of how to donate? I'm sure it's here somewhere, but sometimes I find the site a bit "busy" and difficult to navigate for someone that is techno-challenged...like me. To be clear...great site, great people and great sacrifice!
  17. My experience is dated but in 1990, a dependent had to be a resident alien (green card holder) at a minimum.
  18. Ha...they are probably messing with us. Mine moved up 2 months to 8/21/16... I think that's Saturday. I haven't had a C&P either.
  19. Requested mine on 20 July. Mine just went to decision waiting approval and the date moved up to 4-20-17. Who knows.
  20. Update: I went on E-benefits today to download a Form 21-4138, Statement in Support of Claim that my Dr. filled out supporting my claim. She provided a clear nexus of exacerbated medical condition that started with my active duty sleep study and DX of OSA to my current one, seperated by 14 years. I will print a redacted copy when I get home to my computer. Additionally, to my delight, I found my Estimated Date moved up 3 months to 8/21/16-10/17/16. Comments anyone?
  21. Ditto! I could have been compensated for many years, I think. In fact, I thought that some folks were just taking advantage of the system. It's still my personal feeling that I will only claim a disability for something that happened to me as a result of my service. If I feel I would have contracted the problem whether I was in the service or not...well, I'm not sure I will file a claim. By no means am I passing judgement, however. I served 27 good years and spent very little time in sick bay.
  22. Good question and I am interested in the responses also. If it helps, my VSO told me that he can add amplifying info to my FDC without penalty.
  23. AFVW2, I look at it this way. I have seen positive results posted on this site from claims that didn't have a direct service DX like your husband has. I would keep your chin up and feel cautiously optimistic, if not positively entitled. Yea, the VA makes some head scratching mistakes. Cross that bridge when it comes. There is plenty of great help here for that too.
