  1. Greetings all, For the hadit members that uses myhealthevet, be aware of the new log in changes that is being implemented on April 11. You can no longer use login name and password. You must us I'd.me or ds login.
  2. I do commend you for seeking help. Most important part and continue treatments. What really catch my eyes is the part that you were kicked out of the military. Was it an honorable discharge? I don't think it should matter imo but sometimes I do see vets get denied just for that reason.
  3. I have been at 90 since 2018. Let's see how this goes. The hardest part is waiting. Sounds like it can take up to a year after the Judge's decision.
  4. Good point. Usually Doctors do ask the history for the cause of symptoms, atleast mine does. I tell them it started while in military, from an injury participating in an event . I am honest with them about it because I did go to sick call. But still get the big denial because can't find a link. Duh.
  5. Well, after the last denial, I had to lawyer up. Infact, April 24th, I have a DRO for Cervical or Lumbar Strain. Will see how this goes. Attorney don't get paid unless I win.
  6. I had retired in 2008. I did filed for back conditions back then but got denied. I did not appeal. I have been getting treatments since 2015, filed again in 2017, denied. This time i did appeal.
  7. Thank you Jk. Yes, both injuries are in my medical records. I do have an injury or event happened while in service, I do have a diagnosis for both. Just wondering why my rep didn't file for each. The rep filed for cervical or lumbar strain. I am afraid that VA may SC one condition and the other condition I may have to file later.
  8. Greetings all, Has anyone file a claim for cervical or lumbar strain and has been awarded both? The reason for this question is because a few years ago, I had a VFW rep had gone through my medical records and discovered I had neck and back problems while in service and filed cervical or lumbar straln.
  9. I do agree, continuity doesn't mean just in service, but how many Vets especially in the Vietnam era were educated on VA process? Not many. I do agree waiting to claim such things as arthritis. Hard to prove after 10 years. Yes we are offered an exit exam. Are the docs are very thorough with the exam. Probably not. Once a Vet exit the military, the only thing that is on the vets mind is, how am I going to support my family. They go out and look for a job. Not thinking about military or VA. Years later, they get educated on VA and file. 10 years later they may get SC if that hadn't pass. Just so much red tape. But on the other hand, the Chairborne rangers are not training or deployed, they have nothing better to do but research. 100 off the back. Then try to give advice such as an imo. Really? I am not pinpointing anyone. Just my feelings about raters and the VA system. 10. This is where I see a problem. Continuity of treatment and the VA lives by that rule. But never consider length of service, deployments/special assignments, the rigours training vets have to go through for that special assignment. In order to keep the assignment, you must not have a physical profile. So what do? Avoid sick call just to keep our status. Leaders, officers, senior NCO's can not, will not lead troops from the medical center. We just do self treatment and move on and lead our troops. But lack of treatment. Denied. Now on the other hand, pvt Joe snuffy isn't motivated to train or excel in his or her career. What do they do, ride sick call, becomes a Chairborne sickcall Ranger. Do 4 or 8 years and get out. Have an encyclopedia size medical packet, apply for benefits, 100 percent P&T. Vietnam Vet 20 years, deployed, PTSD, can't walk 10 percent but needs an IMO. But VA's thought process, lack of treatment and continuity. Denied. What is the world coming to?
  11. Just like electric cars that are being tested and sold, going to be lots of recalls. Gotta love today's technology.
  12. Yeah, might be a good idea. But from my experience from a lawyer, you have 1 year to appeal, lawyers usually like to wait until the last minute to file the HLR, at the last minute. VA says 125 days for an HLR review. Might be a long wait.
  13. Great answers from all. Thank you all. I guess I need to look at it from different angles. I just get a little offended when they have to tell me when the last time I called. I already know that. Yes, Peggy is unreliable. But she is getting good pay for just jibberish.
  14. I had called Peggy today being the a cannot log into my VA.Gov site. All I wanted to know was the status of my claim. Why do Peggy make it a point of letting me know of when the last time I called? Do anyone else in the group notice that? I do not need to know call history, I need to know current status.
  15. Lucky you. I had my only exam on 21 Feb and as of today, I am still waiting.
  16. Welcome, Do you have or can you retrieve your denial letter from back then. It may help.
  17. You are right PacMan. I had started a topic on this a few months ago. I am certain that raters and specialist are doing their jobs and well. I have read a comment from broken soldier that he has to contact the eximiner to clarify or he has to kick back an exam for completion, making his workload harder. No one is holding the examiner's feet to the fire. Now we have wasted man hours as well as dollars for backpay for a claim that had taken years to complete.
  18. I can't speak for everyone else. While I was in the Detroit area, the contractors were great. Actually had taken their time help Vets. After relocation to my new location a different story. Many of Vets here are complaining about the same thing.
  19. But yet in still, who does the VA contracts? People like LHI, VES, QTC that are experts in workman's comp that are well trained on how to look for ways to delay or deny a claim.
  20. I do recommend that you bring a blank dbq to see if your examiner is asking questions pertaining to the dbq. Bring all supporting documents. Whether or not the examiner wii review or consider it, atleast you have supporting documents.
  21. You are right Vynce. I have actually seen where they just did a pdf word search. It's best for vets to thoroughly go through their records and upload documents themselves.
  22. Good point MrCue. I really do see your point and I am willing to sign the petition. I am even willing to start one. The problem is with me and I am sure that I am not the only one, is familiar on how to get this going from start to finish. I will research it. Good point.
