  1. I can now use e-benefits to send messages to my primary care doctor.. it looks like some things are starting to work on the e-benefits website for my area, San Diego area..
  2. Kaiser destroys medical records if you stop seeing them for 7 years... A social worker stole my family's records and took all her furniture witin days of her death, and never notified our family. I was going into pancreas surgery when I learned of my mother's death , but she had died 2 weeks earlier and never notified my borther his family or mine... the social worker took all the documents my mother had and shredded them at her home without telling anyone. She told the build manager where she lived that my mohter had signed over her property. She only had furniture and a smal amount int he bank. MY father was a US Navy veteran who had died 20 years earlier. I begged lawyers for help, I contacted news agencies, but all refused,, long story short the Los Angeles dept. of social services has care givers who steal, and rob, and you can't touch them... I can go on with stories about how bad people are working in government agencies doing all kinds of bad things... and they get away with it.. Always shine a light on the cockroaches.. I layed int ehospital bed for 6 months after this just happened going through hell. The pain and suffer on my family from these theives was not fathomable.
  3. I have used Symentc and Norton for 2 years... not many problems,, if there are I caused them ... I renew my subscription every year.. I have always had at least 2 computers in my home,,, one for me and one for every other person... sometimes up to 5 computers , on my home network.. I am well aware of the free programs,, some of which work good, but, you must keep them updated.. and watch out for tricky links, tricky e-mails, etc...
  4. what's this 'Vasovagal Syncope' like?? It sounds what I go through sometimes when I get a pancreas attack and I also have Portal vein and Splenic vien thrombosis and my blood pressure drops very low... I get very sick the the life drains out of me very fast,,, I start to collapse... my heart races... I am out of breath... it's a horrible feeling,, and makes me feel like I wil die right then and there,,, I try to get to a chair or the bathroom, and it really makes me feel very, very sickly and miserable. also like a fever comes very quick with it... I am unable to describe how bad I feel when it happens,,
  5. I went to college 1 year, joined the usaf, thought I would continue school while serving, was working too hard to go to school while working 24/7, then got sick, had to leave because every job they gave me got me sick with chemicals.. btw, I left the USAF after almost 5 years, because I lost 2 jobs I held due to illness... from the chemicals... I went back to school and got degrees in Engineering and Business, but I still ended up too sick to work... I was unable to work, go to school, or function... I lost all my health insurance after 2 surgeries... and won both an SSDI claim and a VA claim... I had to go through appeals on SSDI, , the VA only gave me 50% and denied the rest, a few years later I am back trying to get the full 100%. I was really stupid for not pursuing the full 100% with more appeals many years ago for the full VA P&T. But at least now I will get what's due me, hopefully before I die... While hospitalized in 2008, I only had less than a 25% chance of living... most people with pancreas diseases die much sooner than healthy people... I need to get these ebenfits to help my daughter get her schooling... she is being cheated out of the school help the VA provides for dependents.. and my wife will be living out of a cardboard box if I don't get these benefits.. and I die before then..
  6. the sleep study works fine for people that need a C-Pap machine, where their breathing is interuppted.. but if you have problems that are different each night, than the sleep study isn't very useful. I am not saying don't do it, just saying through experience, it is not very inclusive and decisive. It is something that some people need to take advantage of to help them get the help and get problems documented. Take for instance I lived in a VA hospital bed at the va for 6 months and the nurses noted every thing I did 24/7 for 6 months. I also had nurses come to my house for 6 weeks after one of my discharges, so they could continue care and therapy at my home. You would think the VA claims people would read the millions of pages of doctors and nurses notes after they actually watched me and kept me alive 24/7 for 6 months. I also wore a monitor when I left my room and went to other rooms and floors. But the damned VA claims people didn't even bother to read my records, that I what I had to tel them in person, among all the the other issues and written proof they refused to consider.
  7. at what age did your injuries and illnesses start? Also, did your injuries and or illnesses start on active duty? MY injuries and illnesses started around the age of 22 (on active duty). By the time I reached 35 yrs old I lost the ability to hold a job and work full time... not long after I became housebound and bedridden... I am just very curious how long people worked and had good health, until their health was bad and screwed up their lives..
  8. I suffer and have been from many many years of pain all over,, I have intestinal disease too.. the edoctors wrote Fibro in my medical records many years ago... the intestinal disease is part of the cause if not all, but I also have neuro disease ... I am just trying to say that if you have fibro, there is a chance you have more problems... the problem with intestinal disease is that many times the cause will not show up in tests... you can feel so sick you are dying, but the test show you as healthy... and a really big problem maybe developing,, and there it goes festering until it all gets really bad... hopefully, you don't have anything worse... try different diets,,, you won't lose anything... at least you are trying... pain is soemtimes helpful because at least you can report that to doctors and get it into your records... and the doctors will not do tests unless there is something that forces them to look deeper into the cause... look for blood, diahrea, constipation.... different symptoms from differnt food... neuro symptoms, fatigue, weakness,, tremors... eye problems... fevers... antyhing else besides pain... the length of time the symptoms go on,, weeks or years... if only a few weeks, thaen it could be a passing thing... which would be great! just thinking out loud.. good luck..
  9. I have specific bad health issues, and the doctors have me report for checkups often. So, I suspect that general checjups maybe not as often as you may like. But, if you have a health concern with a disease or condition that requires clser monitoring, I would ask that the checkups be more often. If that is what the cutbacks are doing to your specific health issues. IMHO the reason why I got so sick was because no one took me serious enough when I got sick and then I became a slave and a cripple to disease.. when thye finally figured out I am not a hypocondriac.
  10. Update: VSO says she has no idea how long it will take.. for the DRO decision to come.. She returned my call and talked to my wife... says she has no idea... there are a whole bunch of vets wanting to know and she just does not know.. a while back she said she used to say. 'maybe 8 months' .. but, she no longer tells people because she just does not know
  11. they screw up my address too.. I have 2(1's) in my address.. it is 11..... street... but they were sending my mail to 1.... street... the typist couldn't be bothered to check it before mailing.. and those were my soc's that were sent out.... I asked my VSO rep to ask them to fix the problem... that was 6 months ago... I believe it was fixed,, at least I hope so.. btw, they have had my adress and personal info since 1996... why they screwed up, I have no clue..
  12. I did call my VSO office, and the person that answered was a trainee, and he doesn't know anything... it's like pulling a train with broken sewing thread tying to get answers. they just don't give info... I guess I could go there, camp out and demand an answer until they take me a way in cuffs...
  13. anyone in San Diego had a DRO hearing in the past 12 months? Did you get a decision yet? just trying to figure out what the hell is going on in the SD area.. thanx..
  14. This is great... I wonder if I need to first call my Primary care Dr. and ask her to ask the prosthetics clinic to get me one? is that how we get one? I need one... every day I leave my house, even to walk the dog I make sure I have my id, because in my condition, I could drop at any time and have conditions which are life threatening if not handled properly... I called my primary care doctor to ask for a bracelet... thanx..
  15. btw, I did ask the dro at my dro hearing why the people at the VA do not read the job descriptions for the vets that file... and he said something back that he, knew my job because he was a mechanic'.. I told him that someone at the VA did not know my job or else I would hot have had to have a hearing to tell them why they got it all wrong.. they ignore evidence, do not understand the jobs people held, never bother to even look up what the jobs are.. I suspect that the employees are on drugs and have no clue what the hell they are doing at the VA... the impression they leave me is a bunch of stupid people who have no clue what they are doing and some big boss is telling them that their goal each month is to deny everyone because they want to show their bosses they are keeping the benefits locked down and held back to show they are not giving anything away to anyone..
  16. That was my point in my comments in hthe thread in the social chat part of these forums,, if the VA were doing their job, there would not be such as a great need for forums like these for people to get help and advice... we should be able to tell them that in our medical records we were treated for x,y,z, and the condition stil exists, has gotten much worse... and out lifes have been turned up-side down and destroyed because of the injuries and illness suffered while serving... at that point the rater should give us our rating, then the next person (clown) should sign the check, let us get the healthcare to jeep us patched up and living, and allow our children the education benefits that are part of the package.. instead, everything the VA is uspposed to do is bungled and rubber stamped denied... then we all have to file appealed, then there becomes this nightmare backlog because the clowns there refuse to do their jobs properly... then they get promotoions, and their lives continue with new homes, cars, vacations, and their children get fed and schooled, and we get frakkked... people like me lay in bed for 20 years taking morphine and I can't say the rest because I don't want to gross people out, but it is a miserable existance I go through everyday of my life while they continue to bungle our lives.. I bet that if the jerkoffs at the VA, lived one week in my shoes, they would put a 12 gauge in their mouth and pull the trigger because living like this is hell...
  17. I know aout being a mess... I never in my worst dreams thought I would end up being one of those looking like a person so screwed up,,,,, and feeling 100x worse... one of the c&p docs asked me how I felt and I told him I am a mess, ane said I can't write that down, I need specifics... with too many serious issues and having been though absolute hell fighting for like life in a hsopital bed for six months and having enuro physicls, and sphco issues,, I am the product of a meatgrinder I always thought of myself of thinking logically,, but dealing witht he va there is no way to use logic,,, because they do not use logic, and they do not recognize logic... absulote instanity is the only thing left after dealing with this cruel heartless organziation ..... who does not follow it's own rules, and it' own goal is to kick vets out the door without benefits.. that's their mandate, that's what they live for... on Friday they celebrate each vet that gets nothing... if we were not sick when we went in, we came out insane..
  18. I have the same problem with my left knee and they denied me,, the doctors diagnosed my left knee problem on active duty, yet was denied in my claim.. I stop getting help for it because my degenrative disc disease and pancreas disease took all my smaller issues and made them less important... but I still suffer pain in that knee... I don't know how they denied me when it's in my records... I told the va the pain comes and goes it is different every day.... some days it's mild and other days I can barely walk.. but like I said, the other diseases took away the desire to fight the little things... if that makes any sense to you guys... put it this way, too busy fighting for my life to mess with the smaller things... plus the doctor that cotnued my treatment is no longer findable,, his office moved and when I went back after 20 years I could not find him and get copies of my records from further treatment..
  19. the VA installed a special bed in my house for me. It is electric and it raises and lowers. The buildup of fluid in my lower half was killing me...
  20. the vso filled out the form for the bva hearing long before the dro hearing... long before it, and also, asked for video conference on the form,, later, I asked for the dro hearing..... the dro hearing came first,,, and lef tit in place and re-stated the fact to make sure it didn't fal through the cracks... the vso said that since they taped me at the dro hearing, there will be no need for a video tape hearing and the BVA will use the tape from the dro hearing hearing.. I told this forum about all this several times...
  21. yes, that form was filed a long while ago,, I think at least 1 year ago,, all the issues that get denied are moving to BVA.. the form was officially submitted by my vso a long while back... I just don't understand why the first 3 issues I never got an SOC... I can't get a straight answer,, so I suppose since I never got an soc, that means they have not denied those 3? They are in limbo waiting for a decision by the dro? I forgot one condition,,, add left knee to last three that were denied.. (total of 6..)
  22. had dro hearing in dec, 2010 1)Chronic Pancreatitis (necratizing pancreatitis) 2)Distal Polyneurathy 3)skin rashes (edema, swelling, etc) 4)depression 5)myotonic dystrophy (tremors, shaking, involuntary movements, balance problems, muscle weakness, and more..) 6)left knee (chondritis ?) anyways,, pain in left knee started on active duty. I only received an soc (Jan. 2011) (says these items remain denied) for : 4)depression 5)myotonic dystrophy 6)left knee (no soc recieved for other conditions (1,2,3). I think I covered these right, and didn't omit any... I don't quite understand how these medical issues get classified in the ways they do... but I partially rely on the experience of others to help, such as my VSO in these matters of my claim, filing, letters, etc..
  23. I called my VSO to ask what is going on with my claim.. they still have it listed as pending,, the DRO hearing was december 2010. So, basically they haven't done a damned thing with my file.. in January they sent me an SOC for 3 out of 6 items,, the 3 with the SOC will go on to the BVA appeal process, and the remaining 3 need to go through the ratings process... but it appears they are in no hurry to move them along.. The main item is for Pancreas disease (intestinal disease) for which I showed the nexus between the disease for which I was hopitalized for on active duty... together with all records plus an IMO... together with the fact that I have not been able to work for 15 years.. just sit her and keep waitng and waiting... at the dro hearing, my wife asked the dro person why they kept sending out a letter every once in a while saying they were working on the claim... of course he had a bs answer to give her..
  24. i have been fighting SC connected illness since 1980 for my benefits, so I am on both sides of the fence, waiting a very long time for justice... and 20 years sick in bed.. with occaissional walks around the block.. to be put on hold over and over again.. with denials and appeals..
  25. mine have, and am in the process of having them service connected,, my liver had problems along with my pancreas disease I am currently a regualr GI clinic patient, but hav been with the liver clinic too... at one point they were going to attach a drain tube surgically, but when the levels dropped they decided not to implant a drain tube.. mine was from chemical exposure
