  1. it's supposedly for Myotonic Dystrophy. Which include tremors, muscle weakness/muscle wasting, digestive disorders, and more (better the info come from a medical website that explains it). If it's positive, that means my condition can worsen from toxic chmicals even if it is determined some problems were heredatary. if it is Negative, that means that the toxic chemicals have more of a direct cause. In any case, it is still great evidence. My VA Neurologist set it up for me through the VA, my condition warranted the test. IMHO I still have many other conditions, this was only one of the claims.
  2. well, I am in the Appeal holding pattern,, stilling waiting for my 2nd SSOC (they promised me 2) had the DRO hearing December 9, 2010. I have more evidence coming for one claim issue, a DNA Test I took is supposed to be ready in a few short days... interesting read on DNA evidence for disability claims: http://www.workforce.com/section/00/article/25/12/44.html
  3. I was treated for shingles many years ago. they gave me lots of nerve blocks.. it really sucked,, I Lost control of the side of my face,, but control returned a few hours later.. they put in many, mnay needled into my stomach at on time... ( i think it was, and not the back, it was 20 years ago..).
  4. Yes they frakkin do need to hold them in more cities!
  5. I had a morphine pump as an inpatient for several months... Sorry, I just saw this post. I can't say I would do anything different. it appears you cannot get one installed, then just keep it running as long as you like, as the doctors will monior and adjust it very, very often, and it is computer programmed by doctors and nurses. I never had one outside of the hospital. I was in in patient for 6 months with severe pain from pancreas disease... I have been taking pill form morphine for many, many years before the pump and after the pump..
  6. I know I defintely got screwed, not knowing I could have gotten much more than I orignally got the first go round many years ago, ass they denied most of my claim... if I had gotten better advice from my vso or anyone else, I would most liely have gtotten almost everything back then,, but I was really sick, beat up, int he dumpos, to sick to think.. and settled on what I did get... without this website and people who are willing to help tell others about knowledge, we would al have been ripped off and sscrewed over even more..
  7. any others hospitalized for stomach issues on active duty? I had been hosptialized for gastritis while on active duty and now suffer intestinal disease. I am wondering if anyone got disbaility benfits by tying their stomach (intestinal) issues to illness while they wre on active duty. Did you have to appeal, or did they tie the ongoing stomach issues to the illness from active duty. was a one time on duty hopitalization give enough of a nexus to ongoing stomach issues, or did those that applied for disability have to get more proof. Just curious...
  8. I don't have results back from my Dystrophy DNA test.. but I can defintiely say I have been suffering greatly with all my limbs aching like I had ran a marathon and lifting weights.. and I really do very little around the house... my muschles contunally ache, I spend lots of time needing lots of rest and sleep. and when I can't sleep I double up on Clonazepam. And, as usual, I take my morphine several times a day... Walking around the block kills me... it really wipes me out.. I really thought my doctor would have contacted me with results by now... I am not sure what to think, but it's hard to believe that only intestinal disease and pancreas disease can make my whole body so painful, weak, and sickly... I had my DRO appeal hearing December 8, 2010. But, I don't expect anything for a couple more months, if I am that lucky..
  9. we don't see records.... just a stack 100 feet high,, otherwise,,, we don't see c r a p 'VA'
  10. I had a DRO hearing December 8, 2010. All my paperwork has been submitted through my VSO who personally took them upstairs and had them time-stamped at time of delivery to the claims/appeals office at the regional VA office. I really don't expect to hear anything until maybe around March 2011.
  11. equaled VA and SSDI?? the lawyers probably saw it as losing business so they probably 'killed it dead'..
  12. how and who could prove that any rule of doubt was applied correctly? rhetorical...
  13. YES!!!!!! though the thought of a B-Slap sure would be nice..
  14. anyone have any idea how a diagnosis of a disease being found genetic vs other causes (i.e. environment, toxic chemicals, etc,) how and what kind of outcome could occur in each instance? In regards to winning a claim for the disease and symptoms... thanx.. (I still have not gotten back the DNA results yet, as I only took the blood dna test a few days ago..).
  15. many years ago they did MRI on my brain. I have had amny MRI on m y spine.. but just a couple days ago they took blood to do a DNA test for Myotonic Dystrophy... results are not yet back..
  16. oh crap!.. I just read your post, not sure if I saw it before.. I think I answered to a post that was similar.. sound slike what happened to me.. my VSO left and I was nto notified until when one day I recieved the denail of my NOD.. (one of my appeals).. I felt totally abononded and felt mlike I was starting from scratch adn my whole life was int he hands of the one Veterans Service Officer. I tried to get help, but they told me he left for anothe rposisiton and I had to wait for an appoitnemnt, and the next open appt was going to be in 4 months (this was around August 2010) which would mean they would not be able to help me with my case until January 2011. I looked at my options and went directly to the VSO at the America Legion 50 miles away in San Doego, because they had walk-ins and time for me immediately. I had to start from scratch with new VSO because the new one did not know me and the huge amount of work I was dumping on her lap. Again, in this forum I put up pictures of the boxes and stacks of medical records. It took 4 months of bring my New VSO records, discussing my case and traveling back and for with 100 miles round trips. My original VSO was only a 15 mile round trip. I was left out hanging in the storm, in deep Shiste when my VSO left... if could not have been worse as he and that office knew me and my case. Now I am sick and having ot bring all of my case, all my claims and appeals to this new VSO. I cannot tell in words the devvastatioon I contiually go through with problem after problem. My new VSO is nice, very thoughtful and always makes time for me. She has put up with my problems and my huge nightmare stacks of records. I now have my wife come with me every time I go so she can help and understand, because I need help and also when she askes me questions, she can know what i know by being there though all of the events. sorry,.. I wen off and almost hijacked your thread... my point was being left abondonded and stranded at a critical time is cruel. Even if it is the nowmal case of affairs for people to come and go, but just leaving without telling your clients shure does bite the big one..
  17. rice helps me... lots of rice,, 2x a day... no gravy of any type.. but also I take morphine..
  18. I had a blood test to have my DNA tested for Myotonic Dystrophy.. the results should come any day now, I only just had the blood drawn yesterday, per a doctors request from a neurologist at the VA..
  19. I don't need any medical records, it's the personnel records they are making it very hard to get.. I specifically said personnel records in my requests to the records center... my VSO wants more copies of personnel records.. I had a copy I had from 10 years ago, but it got buried somewhere,, and besides, it wasn't very complete anyways,, not very detailed,, just said I was hard working, blah blah blah.... My Medical Records and for the record, I have always used the official request forms (handed to me by the people at the VA Regional Office), and was guided by the people working at the Va on what to send in and how to fill the forms out...
  20. Difficulty getting military personnel records. Many years ago, I ordered copies from the: National Personnel Records Center in St. lois, Mo. and they sent me some. My VSO asked me to get new copies and handed me an official form, which I filled out asking for all my personnel records Sever weeks later I got an envelope with ONLY copies of my DD214, and more forms telling me I had to request the rest by mail, or fax! WTF are those a-holes doing?? I asked for them all and them make us request them again? So, I logged into their website (which is on their forms) : http://www.archives....ervice-records/ why the hell don't those clowns honor a request by sending the requested info the first time around instead of making us wait several weeks for the mail, only to find they will not send the info until you make a second request?? Now I have to wait weeks longer to get something I asked for one month ago using their official forms.. I wish ther was someone that would answer for their being stupid and making our lives more difficult.. Sorry for the rant, but I am in a constant state of bewilderment and anger trying to work with the dumbasses who run these agencies. If I had only wanted copiesof DD214 (which I definetly don't need, I have more than enough) I would have said please just send me those,, but I asked for all the frakkin personnel records The claims people obvilously can't read job descriptions so I have to find as many personnel records that I can find showing my job duties. I did have some copies showing some performance reports, but must have given them to my last VSO, or they are so far buried in other papers Even those records did not show much and only showed partial glmpses into like quartely job updates... they did not show each chemical I worked with... I think the people working for the VA are oblivious to other people and walk around with their heads up their asses... (that's my experience). When I ask for some info I expect the info not the $$$#@ run-around.. sorry, but ... anyone else have problems getting these dumbasses to release complete records? as per requested..
  21. i have just been prescribed Clonazepam, to help stop thejerking and trembling, shakiness, and take it at bedtime.. it seems very strong but has been immensely helpful in getting rest, but it seems to be very strong and sedates me more than I want.. I just want soemthing ot help keep control of my body when I am going out or resting to keep from having involuntary body movements.. my neurologist says he is getting me a special blood test to test for myotonic dystrophy... I have myoclonic seizures..
  22. at my latest Neurologist appontment, the doctor agreed to do further testing.. he said there is a blood test for the Myotonic Dystrophy, but that he needs to have the test specially ordered... Also my records who I have Myoclonic seizures, or at least the doctor sees some proof.. those are the hard jerking moves my limbs do where they can just throw themselves out without warning.. For my appeals I have documents and submitting more for peripheral neropathy.. Just wondering if anyone else takes the drug Clonazepam (I have been given a prescription for it). Thanx..
  23. Here is a post with a link to a snapshot of my medical records in stacks on a table ! Snapshot of my medical records on a large table
