Question
tconcepts
My husband had some forms filled out at the VA (DBQ, Statement of support with help of the ladies at the administration). I explained to them that I wanted to send the forms in as we wanted to do a fully developed claim and I needed time to get everything together first. They sent it in anyway and it started an informal claim. Now it is tied up as a regular claim with PTSD added with a possible date of 2016. He is already service connected for anxiety. I was just going to ask for an increase in SC anxiety-much simpler and we had a DBQ for it. rated the same and symptoms are similar. We already had the anxiety claim started online, but no final submission before they sent it in and now if I submit it, it gets lumped into the PTSD claim.
Is there a way to withdrawal the claim and resubmit a new claim as a FDC? or do they make you wait a year before you can file again?
