63SIERRA Posted September 19, 2015 Share Posted September 19, 2015 I would have the VA give you an MRI on your back, then take that to an outside specialist.. The VA always calls spine issues DDD.. WHY?Because its a naturally progressive bone disease. you likely have alot more problems than you realize... The MRI is quite conclusive because you can see things quite evident. If you disc is slipped, they can see it, if your back was fractured, they can see it, if your spine is curved, a bone is pinching a nerve in the spinal canal, ect, it is easy to see..Instead of going to the trouble to find out exactly what the problem is, its easy for the VA to just put generic l;abels.... especially labels that dont qualify for compensation.. not saying this is the case with you but the first thing you need to do is get to the facts and the truth . Another SC for anything less than 50% does you "NO GOOD," from a ratings standpoint. You just retired, right? That would indicate that at the present time, you would be able to do some sort of "Sedentary" Gainful Employment (earnings of $238.00 or more per week, right? That's probably why there is No mention of an "Inferred IU" claim.Depending on your age, under 55 you can expect re-exam C&P's every 2-3 years. In my "Lay" opinion, other than the Tinnitus, all your other SC's listed could worsen or improve with time and treatment.
