Wait time for c-file?

I was under the impression that if you requested a copy of your c-file that the VA was under time constraints on getting you a copy?   I applied for a copy in August of 2015.  I checked ebenefits today and its stating Estimated Completion: 10/10/2016 - 05/14/2017

Seriously?  Up to 2 years wait for a copy of a file that is supposed to be electronic at this point?

I haven't tried this, but you are supposed to be able to trip into your RO without an appointment and request to view your C-File. I've talked directly to VA Employees at the different information contact numbers and verified this is supposed to be the procedure at all VAROs. Get there early and pack a lunch, 1st come, 1st serve.

Your supposed to be able to view your complete C-File and request copies of any of the pages. I would think using an IPhone and taking pics would be faster.

I plan on giving a visit to the RO, a try in the near future, just to see how it works. Just got a good bump in my Rating and Comp 01/2016, but I'd like to verify the procedure exists. Hope my next copy of my C-File comes on CD, 10in stack of paper, pain in the Axx. Then again, AskNod had cases upon cases of his C-File, so I shouldn't be complaining.

I requested FOUR times for my missing medical records from 95-96.  My initial request was back in June 2015 and still nothing.  I hope that the military and veterans liaison with my local congressman's office can finally help me.  My DRO review hearing is on the 26th of this month and it's crucial I get it.

I would seriously consider hitting up your local congressman/congresswoman's office for assistance.

Same here I called about it and they said its showing to need a signature?

as soon as its signed off I will get it...I called about 2 months ago  order it back in June 2015  I had my C&P without knowing whats in my C-fILE  So no telling what they will do with my claim?

I hope you get yours before your C&P then if you find records pertain''favorable'' to your claim submit them electronically on mt healthvet.'

C&P's are today and I don't need them necessarily today BUT I do need the missing medical records for my upcoming DRO review hearing!  Ugh...

Yes I understand

If your C&P is at Waco you might go the night before and go in there earily and ask to see your c-file  I did this at my DRO Hearing and it help   however sometimes they can't find it at your RO EH!
