Ramp Process is really Screwed up
This morning I checked ebenfits and it stated that my claims were in the Notification Preparation stage #6 This evening I checked and it indicates the claims were submitted on 28 Dec 2018 and are now in the Gathering Evidence stage #3 I monitored the claims status since May when I opted into Ramp.. it had been saying decision by 14 Jan 2019 Now it says decision between May and July 2019 I knew from the moment I opted into Ramp, that things were not going to be any faster in fact initially I did not opt for ramp and advised against anyone going into something blind, that we have no way of know how this was going to work well now we Know... its just as…

Wings For Warriors?
Seems like a wonderful organization that helps our war veterans get to their families and beyond. Have anybody heard of them?

RAMP processing times
I opted into ramp on 4/26 of this year. My NOD was closed out a short time later and a new claim was opened in Ebenefits. Then that claim was closed and reopened on 7/6 and a C&P was done on 8/10. Ive been at prep for decision since 8/20 and no movement since then. Is this normal? The claim is for an increase of 1 already service connected disability. I can’t seem to find any good data on current processing times for RAMP. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Ramp closed detoured me
Hi all, I had an appeal going on 3 years, than decided to go into Ramp on 6/04/2018. Original had a 125 day window for completion. In October it changed to Nov. 18 to Jan. 18. Ok there goes there 125 day window but the end is in sight. Opened up E-benefits and I see claim closed 11/20/18. I thought that was weird because one issue is PTSD and didn't have C&P exam. Than I see claim received 11/21/2018 in review stage with an estimated completion date of 9/19. what is this, any clues?

RAMP
I just wanted to share my experiences with RAMP. My rep phoned me and told me I was denied on two of my issues but will receive C&P exams on the other two issues including Migraines. I was not involved with the higher level review conversation which I thought I would be. I believe I should have went supplemental lane instead of taking the advice of my rep to do HLR I was also informed that all lay evidence was ignored including buddy letters. I was told that me and my wife need to write additional letters for all denied issues that will go to the RAMP legacy BVA lane now. The problem is that we have already written everything my rep said we needed to writ…

Opting Into RAMP & "The Process"
My original claim was filed April 2011, Award was made July 2013, NOD filed May 2014, SOC received June 2015, BVA Hearing was held July 2017 resulting in Remand with a BVA Grant. It's now been 17 months since my BVA Hearing and the Remand and nothing has changed on EBenefits. I recently met with my VSO to discuss the RAMP Program. The VSO told me that I should Opt into the RAMP and I took the advice. The reasoning was that this is a "Pilot Program" with a goal of 125 days and that once everyone else goes into the RAMP Program, when it becomes law (Feb 2019?), there is no gaurantees that the 125 day goal will still be in place. My question is what happens afte…

What does error rating mean in a RAMP claim?
My RAMP claim was filed 4/9/18! It updated on ebenfits to show a error rating ! On 10/2/18 after I had a informal phone conference on 9/28/18 with a VSO finally , I chose the high level review route , now its updated on 11/2/18 on ebenfits showing preparation for Decision! I was told by peggy when I called the VA number that I got a favorable decision but I dont know if that's true ! My POA says it's looking good because it showed error rating in the development stage does anyone know if a error rating is a good sign of winning a ramp claim? And what is a error rating ? I have to appeals one for a increase for a rated 10% kidney and abdominal muscle wall injury that is…

To RAMP or NOT TO RAMP
I had my Travel Board BVA Hearing July 2017. I was awarded service connection for cervical disabilities and my case was remanded back to the RO. By November 2017 I had a C&P cervical exam and my benefits increased from 60% to 90%. Everything else that was Remanded (hearing, cancer, PTSD) has just been sitting there for over a year, including IU. I'll be filing two more claims next week that are secondary to the above service connected disabilities with an active intent to file dated 1/25/2018. I have supporting doctors letters. I've received numerous letters from the VA to sign up for the RAMP Program. I was represented by the DVA but they have been …

RAMP beginning to look dim already...
Hello everyone, I wanted to reach out and see if anybody else is having the same problem as me with the RAMP process. I have been in DRO appeal since Aug. 2017, no real movement. I received the Opt-In letter for Ramp end of July 2018. I opted into the RAMP August 1 and was in VA system by August 8 2018. I noticed after 45 days that e-benefits still showing DRO. I thought weird, contacted 1-800 Peggy who stated that they didn't even close out my DRO yet and shouldn't have happened. Peggy states "We got you," I laughed and said its okay your are the VA. Now almost sitting at 90 days in beginning of November. I check E-benefits my DRO is still open, I thought E-benefit…

Using Ramp wisely, axe the higher level review.
As most of you know, when you opt into RAMP, you have to choose either a Higher level Review, or Supplemental Claim option. IF UNSURE, OPT FOR THE "SUPPLEMENTAL CLAIM" lane, and not HIGHER LEVEL REVIEW: Here is why: 1. Unless you have a "fresh" copy of your cfile, you dont really know whats in there. You may have gotten one 8 years ago, and "assume" that all that stuff is there, plus the new stuff. Big mistake. This presumes there is "no disconnect" at VA..that everything VA receives on you goes into your file and stays there forever, and nothing "ever" gets lost, or accidently gets put in another Vets file. So, you dont know if you nee…
