Emg Test
Long story short I have bulging disk at c6/7, neurosurgeon states from looking at spine mri that there is nerve root compression.Neurosurgeon sent me for EMG which was conducted by another neurosurgeon EMG showed bilateral carpal tunnel but it showed no evidence of cervical radialopathy (SP?). I will attach the emg results. I thought this was done to look for permanent nerve damage? My understanding the test shows no permananet nerve damage. But does the test rule out that nerve root compression is causing problems with my right hand and arm?

The Va Taketh Away Faster Than They Giveth...
A couple of months ago I looked up the regs -- and it said that the Va payment for the month of death is a right of the widow. I got the VA letter - and it said to call the tool-free number - so I did. I was told that I had to send in a statement of claim asking to be allowed to keep the February payment -and that it NOT be reclaimed. I have since closed my joint bank account with my husband. (AT&T was taking money out, but was not authorized to do so - and was not even applying it to our phone bill - so who knows who authorized them to take it out -or where it was going -- I just closed the account - and still have to sort things out with AT&T -which is …

Korean War Project
The Korean War Project had been off line for a while sometime back---- They changed their format and this is certainly one of the best vets site on the web for Korean veterans and family members: http://www.koreanwar.org/html/units/dmz/dm..._69.htm?set=700 Their "Looking For" section is excellent and so is their BBS. What is good-since their focus is on AO at the DMZ -is the data they are collectingon other incidents of AO usage in Korea. "Looking For" sections used to a big part of the older vet BBS forums and Reunion info - these are excellent ways to find a buddy for a buddy statement as to AO exposure in Korea. The area that was confirmed as spray…

Contract Care
I was sent to a local private medical doctor for a colonoscopy today. I had the pre-procedure Q & A today. At this time I was told by the Secretary there that I would have to give them my insurance card for private coverage. I have none. I was then told that I would have to pay out of pocket if the VA does not pay in a timely manner. Is this true? if so what is a timely maner? I refused to sign the fiscal responsibility form and gave them my VA Service Connected card. Any Ideas for my follow-up
