diabetes Disability Codes
Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me with these two questions; 1. Is there a list posted anywhere that shows what the VA's codes mean, such as: Posttraumatic stress disorder 309.81 Where can I find the internal codes they use that shows the 309.81? or for GERD 530.81? 2. Where can I find the Army's list of disabilities similar to the VA's rating codes like: Diabetes Mellitus - Code 2509 (VA uses 7913) Thank you.

Disability Insurance
This has nothing to do with the VA. But I hoped you guys and gals might have some advice. I enrolled in disability insurance offered to employees where I work in 6/06 (outside company Genworth Financial). In 8/06 I was told my bladder and uterus had prolapes and needed a hysterectomy. Missed 5 weeks of work, so I filed a claim. Got a letter over the weekend stating I was deined since I had been treated for a urinary track injection in 2/06. Can they get away with this. I'm sure if my bladder had proplapsped then it may have caused my UTI. But who can say that for sure. The first time my doctors found the prolapsed bladder and uterus was in 8/06. I'm really ticke…

New Va Med Policy
http://www.vawatchdog.org/nfNOV06/nf112106-1.htm "The VA is developing a policy that would allow VA doctors to write prescriptions that could be filled at non-VA pharmacies. Currently, veterans pay $8.00 for a 30-day supply of non-service-connected medication at a VA pharmacy. Wal-Mart has announced a $4.00 prescription plan. In many states, Wal-Mart will fill a prescription for generic drugs for just $4.00 for a 30-day supply. A number of other retailers have followed Wal-Mart's lead and announced similar plans. Target will institute a $4.00 plan in many states. Some retailers, trying to fight Wal-Mart's "Big Box" retailing strategy, have even offered a li…

Vet's Commission Survey
http://www.vawatchdog.org/nfNOV06/nf112106-3.htm They assure that private info will be protected by they hired a private company to do the survey----- by phone --- I guess they aren't sending letters by mail as to the questions on the survey- there is a lot of info as to how the VA is protecting this info-at Watchdog- I don't like this- phone calls leave no hard copy-for those who are surveyed- seems to me the results could be biased- just my opinion.

Yesterday we recieved a doctors report back to 1988. We totaly had forgotten about this Dr. and he his passed away now, but did recieve his report. IT states that patient has hadd a progressive hearing loss over the last number of months. ( I am sure he meant to say years) John was discharged from service in 1972. His hearing was getting worse as years went by so I got him to see this Dr. Question 1. Will this statement hurt him in anyway? HE was around jet engines causein an irrtitation and sicomfort with some ringing. He is also around lound noise now and concerned about high tone discrimination loss. Question 2. What about this statement? PE: ENT is not…

Notice Of C&p Exam
Can anyone tell me what GM might mean? This is abbreviated like this after appointment date and time. C&P/GM C&P/EYE I know that the eye is for my husband's eye exam because we claimed diabetic Retiopathy. But I don't know what the GM stands for. The other question I have is, do the exam doctors really use the examination work sheets that are posted on the VA's website? If so, do they cover pretty much everything on the exam worksheet? Also, if they require lab work to be done, would they elect not to get labs done if in our records we have lab work dated about 5-months ago?
