Dead In Iraq
On PBS they are listing the weekly dead of American soldiers and Marines in Iraq. It is really giving me the creeps. They are so young and so dead. What a waste. Bring back the draft so the guys from small town America dont have to spend another 5 years dying in Iraq. If middle and upper middle class kids had to go to the war it would be over in 6 weeks.

diabetes Lap Band Surgery
On Tuesday I meet with a Doc to go over whether or not I will get Lap Band Surgery. My Medicare/HMO will cover it. Sort of annoys me that I will have to make copays for something that the VA should do but that is the story of my life. Reasons I need Lap Band Surgery to lose weight. Diabetes Sleep Apnea Hyper Tension 41 BMI 302 Lbs Breathing Problems I have gained 30 lbs in less than a year. I have become very depressed about not being able to lose weight which might cause them not to do it. For those of you who pray please include me in your prayers. Pete

hypertension Power Of Attorney
My case is fairly new, June of 2003. My P/O is the California Dept. of V.A. and they are crappy or worse. I have mailed a letter to my congressman complaining. I have asked the dept for help and not one letter, phone call or email. Sorry, I find my self venting. I have one outstanding claim, Hypertension. When that is denied all my claims will be denied at that point, I think the next thing is the appeal? I want to change P/O and I don’t want to start over again. The Purple Heart Group in Fresno tells me when all is denied I can change P/O’s. Please shed some light on this. bill

Seeking The Best Approach With Dro
Okay Guys & Gals, I need some advice on what to do next. My current status is with the DRO since January 06. By chance I was on the phone with a clerk researching another problem with my pay and discovered that somehow they got the idea and was researching whether or not I'd re-entered the military. This is a classic case of someone looking for the "smoking gun". I submitted additional evidence on my claim for carpal / cubital tunnel and the provider listed me as a " RH dominate pharmacy technician working @ Randolph AFB" . That's the only thing that could've got him excited. Problem is that as a registered technician, I have to maintain certifications in order…
