Denied Claim - Reversed - Rating ?
If you get an old denied claim (for not service connected) reversed. They never put a rating on the old claim because it was stated as not service connected. Where do you get a rating. In my case they are giving me a 10 per cent rating on the scleredema that they have stated is service connected. But that rating only goes back to August of 2004.I am putting in a NOD for that rating to be increased and requesting a scars rating because all of the problems with the disease is on the back of the head and neck and underlying thick skin and headaches caused by this. Also limited neck and head motion. I am also going to try to put a nexus between the '61 decision and th…

ptsd ? On Secondary Claim To Falling....
I have recently been falling from time to time, tripping over things, mostly due to my Neuropathy, which is caused by my L1-S1 being shot to Haiti. I have fell out of attic and landed on neck. Fell in a few parking lots, and yesterday tripped on the curb at the gas station and really hurt myself when I landed. I may have broken one of the bones in my wrist, I'm planning on going to the emergency room once the swelling goes down, no need to make an extra trip. I realize each VARO is different, but is this typically something they will recognize as caused by my service connections? I've been in a funk lately, went through the VA Voc Rehab testing and got my res…

Knees
Good morning, I'm going to file a claim for problems in my right knee that I think are due to imbedded shrapnel-it's sore all of the time. I went to VA Doc and he gave me Vicodin which says on the label "Don't drive" while taking. I also have arthritis issues with both knees. Any suggestions on filing this claim? Thanks.

Vet Rep Problem
My local vet rep asked me to help one of his vets in 2004- It was a Sec 1151 and the local vet rep had limited experiencewith 1151s. I prepared a NOD with some med evidence from the VA med recs-to support the claim and then I found basis for additional SC claim worth much more than the 1151 and prepared that claim and attached evidence- The vet rep gave the vet envelope (never made copies) and the vet sent the claims in-they are being processed- Two weeks ago the vet rep -I an still so angry I can hardly think- called the vet into his office and strongly suggested that the vet find other representation-I found this out yesterday- The vet rep wrote a statement …

Dro Decision Rendered On My Claim
Either the VA doc concurred with my 2 IMOS and overwhelming medical evidence or the VA invented a brand new disease that one sole American veteran named Rod Simmons had (making medical history) and they denied due to this brand new disease- I dont have a clue what to expect- but I am fully prepared to fight a denial. VA said it is on the VSO desk for my VARO vet rep to read and sign off on. He is busy with the problem that other vet had - (posted under vet rep problem) which certainly has more priority than my decision. I lost a lot of sleep last night over what happened to this veteran- he has a bonafide probative claim-it should generate 100% award - just…

Removed My Case From Ratings (sent In New Ime) Need Help!
Merry Christmas To you & your famlies. I currently have a claim for increase (currently 90% IU & TP) for increase in many of my service connected disabilities and for 10 side effects from my many medications. My claim was ready for ratings when I took the advice of a veteran from this website and submitted my IME from Dr. Bash and another IME from a local doctor reguarding my medications and their direct cause of my many side effects. My American Leigon service officer wanted me to wait and use this information for an appeal if necessary, however I did not and sent in this information right to the RO. Now I am told that my claim is not in ratings anymore…

Tricare Fee Increase
Tom Philpott | December 08, 2005 Defense Department officials have drafted plans to raise TRICARE enrollment fees and deductibles sharply over the next three years for military retirees under age 65 and their families, about three million beneficiaries. If the changes touted by senior Defense officials are adopted, annual enrollment fees for TRICARE Prime, the military’s managed care option, would triple by October 2008 for working-age retired officers and double for enlisted retirees. Yearly deductibles for retirees using TRICARE Standard, the fee-for-service health insurance option, would double for officers and rise by a third for enlisted. Also, for the firs…

New Claim Accepted
I got SC'ed for my upper extremity PN but I don't know the percentage of disability yet. The VA said today that I would get a letter in a few days. I will let you know what it says to help others trying to get SC'ed for PN secondary to DMII. I was already SC'ed for lower extremity PN. I believe the VA low balls PN cases unless you are really a cripple or your extremities are completely numb.

diabetes Eye Problem (cataracts)
Greetings I just found out that I have cataracts developing at a rapid rate in both eyes. I'm been complaining out floaters, watering eyes, and poor vision well before I got out of service (well documented medical records). The doc said normally people with diabetes’s get cataracts but I don't have diabetes. I have a follow-up in six months or sooner if needed. Is Cataract Disease rated and what are some of the causes of this disease.? Happy Thankgiving Chiefhouse

Gaf Questions
hi! Happy holidays! B) Just for a tiny bit of back ground, I came in back in 1995. stayed 4 years, was out for 5 months. came back, stayed for 5 years. I have filed for back problems and service making me crazy-er with aggrvated MDD and brand new GAD. The earliest GAF I know of was when I was 12. it was 65. 1st time I joined, I was seen, for about 2 seconds, by a MEPS contracted Pdoc. She said, your fine, and that was it. I do not recall ever seeing a GAF resulting from that exam. 2nd time I was in, I was about 3 years into my enlistment, kinda got depressed again, I'll spare you the boring stuff, lol. Started seeing a Navy Pdoc, and taking me…
