Any recent experience with this? Received the VLJ remand letter in February, had additional C&P exams in March, file sent to decision phase March 27. That means it has now been 26 days.....any experience with how much longer it will take to receive the letter? Any experience with how long from time of letter to receiving back pay should they award additional rating?

P&t Language In Decision Letter
Hi. I have a vet that received his decision letter in his claim for IU. He was succesful for getting IU. It does not say anything about P&T in the body of the letter accept for this one place. Under reasons for decisions #2 Eligibility to Dependents' Educational Assistance Under 38 USC Chapter 35, the last sentence states: "Basic eligbility to Dependent's Education Assistance is granted as the evidence shows you currently have a total service-connected disability, permanent in nature. Does this mean that he is actually P&T? Should he use this letter as verification for P&T when he submits for Champva for his spouse and the other benefits for P&T …

Migraine Appeal Is Taking Forever
I had asked for an increase for my migraines. I am currently at 30% and they have gotten worse. I get a migraine on average once a day. Average pain level is 8-10+ two to three times a week. I have left work due to these, been taken to the ER twice in a 24 hour period, and am taking ImItrex all the time to tackle them. I submitted the claim in May of 2010 and had a C&P on July 12, 2010. When I got the letter about it being denied. The decision to deny was dated July 13, 2010. How can they make a decision in one day HUMMMM.? The weird thing I showed the letter to a VBA and DAV they both said it should of went through because the rating officer just counterdicted hi…

Does This Mean The Amc Service Connected Claim?
Forgive my mental block. I inquired through IRIS about the status of a case that was remanded by the BVA to AMC, and received the following response: The Appeals Management Center has completed all development actions required by the Board of Veterans Appeals (BVA) in its remand, your appeal is pending review by a Rating Specialist. As soon as a decision is made, you will be promptly notified. Do any of you fine veterans have an opinion? It is much appreciated!

Sfia
Maybe you have not heard this VA acronym. SFIA is "Spin Factory in Action". Below, is an example. While the current VASEC has overwhelmingly INCREASED the backlog, the VASEC makes it sound like just the opposite. One example: http://fcw.com/articles/2012/04/20/va-claims-backlog.aspx

Va Just Received My Dd214
Just had a question that I thought maybe someone could help me answer. My claim was filed one year ago and has been sitting in the "Preparation for Decision" phase since late August of 2011, today I called and talked with the VA, how delightful of a conversation and completely unhelpful that was. However, I did find out that according to them and the lovely eBenefits website they just Received my DD214 on 4/16/2012. This was submitted with the original claim and not sure why they would just be receiving it again. Does anyone have any clues as to what this might mean? It was the first update of any sort that I have seen in approximately Seven months. At the very least it…

I have a copy of my mental health C&P exam FINALLY and the diagnoses is as follows; 296.33 Major Depressive Disorder, Recurrent, Severe without psychotic features. Memory Remote Memory: Normal Recent Memory: Mildly Impaired Immediate Memory: Mildly Impaired MMPI-2 was administered - It is noteworthy for extreme elevations on scales 1, 2, and 3. This pattern is often referred to as "conversion V" referring to the tendency of the individual to "convert" psychological disturbances into a preoccupation with physical functioning (huh?), to a degree which exceeds what might be a normal focus in the possible presence of very significant medical issues. In ad…
