Side Effects Of Medication On A Social Security Disability Claim

Alj Hearing Date Scheduled
My second ALJ hearing date is scheduled in July. I was denied at the first ALJ hearing and appealed to the Appeals Council and was denied there also. My attorney did an on-the-record brief for an on-the-record decision but I haven't heard back from the ODAR. My file has been transferred to a different ODAR office and they will make the decision on my ALJ hearing. I am considered a younger individual and I have two doctors stating that I cannot maintain a full eight hour five days a week job without any interruptions. What are my chances of being approved this time around and should I have my mother testify at the hearing since I live with her and she is aware of all of my…

Ssdi Approved, Should I Send It To The Va?
Hi Everyone, I got word earlier this week that my SSDI claim approved. The back pay even shows in my bank as available tomorrow morning! I filed SSDI for RA and a headache syndrome (chronic daily and migraines). I have open claims with the VA right now including one for my RA. Once my paperwork arrives from SSDI should I submit that to the VA as further evidence? Right now here are the claims I have open with the VA: Filed March 2011 - Vertigo (unknown cause), scar from minor surgery, TMJ (diagnosed at my original set of C&P exams by VA dentist) Filed August 2011 - RA. This one still doesn't show up in E-benefits and took 2 filings for the VA to even …

Went To My Hearing Yesterday
New thread. Well i went to my hearing for SSDI yesterday. My lawyer seems to think we did pretty good, guess i'll find out. I was nervous as a pet coon in there the whole time, wore me out completely. At the end of the hearing i was surprised that the vocational expert couldn't find any job that i could do with my limitations. I was sure he'd be the one to be completely agains me.

ptsd Ssd Hearing
Taking the advice from the people on this site and applying for SSD back in June 2010 for PTSD, got denied and i appealed. I now have a hearing at the end of February. Just wondering if anyone had any advice for me? I have most of my ecidence in, i will be getting a letter from my psychologist and psychiatrist before i go to the hearing, so that is more evidence i will have for my case. I also have a SSD lawyer that will be going along with me as well. Right now i'm 40% SC, 0% hearing loss, 10% tinnitus, and 30% PTSD with the VA, but have an appeal in for that. I'm young, at 26 years old, and haven't worked since 07 due to my service connection, dealing with it day to da…

Communication With Odar
My SSD disability case is currently awaiting a hearing before an ALJ. I've been checking the status of my case online and it has been stating "awaiting processing no further information can be given about this case". My attorney submitted an on-the-record brief about one month ago for an on-the-record decision. I've also been communicating with the ODAR to check on the status of my case about every three weeks and the social security representative would state that your case is being reviewed and no further information can be given. Today I called the ODAR and the social security representative stated something different she told me to contact my attorney for information.…

Going To School And Winning Ssdi
FYI, Got this response from a SSDI lawyer. Through our experience of helping individuals with disabilities secure SSDI benefits, we are very knowledgeable about the claim process and eligibility. One of the primary requirements is that you must have a physical and/or mental condition that has lasted or is expected to last at least 12 months. In general, you must be disabled from any and all occupations, not performing any significant work activity, and have the support of your doctors. The fact that you still are working or going to school greatly inhibits your chances for securing an SSDI award. If your doctor has allowed you to continue working and you are performing …

Appeals Council Remand
Today, I received the answer to my request for review of the ALJ from H*ll's denial of SSDI benefits. The Appeals Council vacated the decision of the ALJ and remanded my case back with instructions to resolve many issues. Needless to say, I am slightly disappointed that it was not an Approval (2%), but greatly relieved that it was not a Denial of Review (75%). So, now the battle continues, but I have more evidence on my side, to include the fact that the ALJ only partially summarized the SSA's own consultative examiner's statements, and ignored the statements about my being disabled - which the Appeals Council has extreme problems with (I did not know anything about …

Turned Down, Results Posted On Google
11 years ago I was awarded 100% t&p. Since I was 60 I applied for ss disability and was denied. The judge I had was a terrible person, almost called me and my wife a liar. He did not like the va and did not feel that because I was 100% disabled in the eyes of the va that I deserved the ss disability. My lawyer was not a very good one but we appealed it all the way to the 8th cir. court and was denied. I do not know how but the first judge placed all of his hearing with me on the internet via google. He also lied and added quite a bit that was not true on this report. He has since passed away. I know this is a tough question but is it possible to have somethi…
