Social Security To Expedite Veteran Disability Claims
The Social Security Administration plans to streamline its review of disability claims for veterans starting next month, shaving weeks off the process by which it determines benefits, officials are set to announce Wednesday. The Woodlawn-based agency says it will expedite claims for former service members who already have been deemed fully disabled by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, alleviating a bureaucratic nightmare for veterans who sometimes waited years to get a decision about their eligibility for benefits. Va Or Ssa Screwed Me!
SSA requested my medical records from all sources but didn't get my VA records? The lady on the phone said the VA never replied and due to my lack of evidence I am being sent to a EXAM, this lady tells me this is better as the EXAM will be more recent and better than the 8 MONTHS of records I had with the VA for my MENTAL condition. I'm going to get what I can from blue button on my healthy vet download it to a disc and bring it into the DDS place.

Question About First Appeal Paperwork
I received my first denial for SSDI and have filled out the appeal paperwork from the SS adjudication company here in GA. I faxed in the paperwork and have been scheduled for an exam. My wife called the adjudicator and asked if there was any other paperwork that we could submit that would help us be approved. The adjudicator told us that they "had everything they needed" and did not need any other paperwork. I think this might not be the case and would like input about what other paperwork I can submit to the adjudicator and what they have to take from me if I offer it as evidence. I also want to know if I can take any paperwork with me to my appointment. I am pl…

Spousal Benefit From Ssa
I have SSD and my wife has SSA. I make much more than her on SSD. She took SSA at age 62. I was told by SSA on the phone that she may be entitled to a increased spousal benefit due to large difference in our pay rates. She gets less than half of what I get. She retired early to stay home with me. She is being punished for being my caretaker. I see this happen all the time. John

ptsd Phone Interview
I applied for SSDI and SSI about a month ago. I based SSI off of my monthly work income of 500 dollars, and SSDI I am using PTSD. I had a phone interview yesterday. The interviewer asked me some questions about PTSD and asked about the three references which are my healthcare providers and my wife. The examiner wants to speak with my wife what types of questions can she expect to be asked?

ptsd 100% Pt, Current Civil Service; Would/can I Benefit From Ssd?
I'm once again overwhelmed and confused, as I was when I started my claim for increases in 2010. So, HADIT is where I come to find answers, so I'm hoping someone can help out. I've been searching for threads that may fit my situation for a couple of days and couldn't find anything, so I figured I'd just start a new one. My particular info: I was found 100% P/T September last year. I have a 70% PTSD/Depression rating along with 30% asthma and multitude of 10-20% ratings for cervical spine/lumbar spine/knees/flat feet etc. I'm 52 and currently a FERS civil servant GS-13 (Analyst) coming up on my 10th year of civil service (June 2014) after 24 years of AD. Looking For Good Lawyer In Northern Wisconsin
All, Not for me, but my wife. She was denied today for her Social Security Disability Claim. I'm sure she has a claim and could win with the right lawyer. I did read how they are compensated, so I understand that part. Her initial claim was for Chronic Pain Syndrome from bialteral knee surgery, for which she is diagnosed with, however, not on the Social Security list of maledies. She had many more complications and medical issues and we could have proceeded in the wrong direction with the (1st/initial) claim. Anyway, we (she) has 60 days to request an appeal. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Hamslice Actually going to Mayo Clinic in R…
