Pes Planus
Hello, I have a question. I recently filed for Pes Planus and they granted me service connection 0 percent. My MEPS exam stated pes planus mild asymptomatic, and my exit exam stated pes planus severe asymptomatic. During my time in service I was given shoe inserts to help with pain from the run and marches and said to have increased pronation. I also have knee and back problems. I want to NOD and file for increase. Do I have a claim? Any help is appreciated.

Agent Orange
My husband was in the New York Army National Guard from June 1969 until Jan 1977..His summer camp duties for his years of service were at Camp Drum, NY. He does have some va benefits due to being called to active duty for Operation Graphic Hands in March 1970, he has a Veterans Universal Access Identification card. Thirteen drums of Agent Orange were sprayed at Camp Drum on 4 square miles from a helicopter spray device in 1959. From what I have read residue can linger for many, many years. In 1995 my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. He condition is considered severe. I have all medical paper work for his illness and am in the process of getting all offi…

Insomnia & Sleep Apnea
Hi - I've been retired for over 4 years and diagnosed with sleep apnea prior to leaving the service. I've been on a CPAP ever since and just went through another sleep study (5 years after the original) that confirmed previous findings and increased the pressure setting on my CPAP machine. Currently at 50% service-connected disability for sleep apnea. My question is around insomnia. I have it and it's in my medical records prior to leaving the service. I've been on Ambien for insomnia for over 10 years. Can insomnia be claimed in conjunction with sleep apnea?

hearing loss Tinnitus reopened with PTSD approval
In late July, 2016, I reapplied for PTSD and hearing loss/tinnitus. I was approved for 50% PTSD in late September, 2016 after a grueling 20 year fight with the VA. Why is the VA so many faceted toward us veterans? Not going to go into that here... But I was turned down AGAIN for hearing loss even though the VA gave me hearing aids in 2010, and falsified results of a new hearing test in 2013 (by doing just the "point my finger in the air" when I heard a tone, with my back turned and simple headphones on my head) when attempting to replace my hearing aids which were stolen with almost $13,000 of my personal property that was in my truck in 2012. They threw out …

MilRetPay and CRDP
Thanks for hosting this forum. So many vets have so many questions it's just amazing what you fellows are doing here. Unfortunately I'm no different and am hoping to have a few questions andwered. Keeping short and sweet, money is tight and now that I am retiring from the military I would like to know about how much I can expect to receive upon my retirement orders. I have a VA rating of 80%= $1700 a month and an Army DOD rating of 70% combat related injurys from several OIF/OEF deployments equaling $2986 a month. Can I expect to either CRDP or CRSC? and if so how much am I looking at or which one would be more beneficial? Thanks in advance …

What does this mean on an old Rating Decision?
I am a Thai only Vietnam Vet, currently with an appeal on the BVA docket. I have until mid March to file additional evidence. I have evidence of being on the perimeter of a Thai base, which makes a Thai Vet potentially eligible of herbicide exposure and filed a Fast Track claim for IHD on 6/16/2011. It received a fast denial saying my MOS did not require me to be on the perimeter, even though the perimeter of U-Tapeo included a large resort style beach rec center for all base personnel. I have hard evidence I was on that beach off duty. They also denied I had ISD even though I had my first heart attack in the 90's and since have had 3 stints and a quad bypass which con…

Sleep Apnea Question
I have a question about a pending Sleep apnea VA disability Claim. It has been pending since FEB2013. A year prior to retiring from the military, I went to medical complaining of loud snoring, being tired all day, head feeling like it was in a fog, and having decreased memory. I was eventually diagnosed with hypothyroid and was put on medication. After being put on medication I was still having the above issues and told medical about them and I was sent in for a sleep test and was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. Specifically with Sleep Apnea ICD-9 code 327.20. The Sleep apnea was not severe enough for a CPAP to be prescribed to me. NOTE: During this sleep study I was…

tdiu Good to ask for TDIU and file a Fully Developed Claim together?
From all I've read both here and on the Law Blog, it's a good idea to file a Fully Developed Claim as well as TDIU together. Anyone filed these two together? Any comments, experiences....concerning the matter?

Getting readty to file for Disability
Good Morning and Happy New Year, I am a concern parent of a Boatswain Mate that recently got out of the Navy in September last year. He is having hip, back, neck pain no sleep that he thought would go away after leaving the Navy and the routine daily work. If anything it has gotten worse. My husband and daughter and I convince him into filing a calm which he started last night. To our surprise he had a lot more issues wrong with him than we thought going through the list of ailments on the forms. He works full time has a wife and a son and one on the way. He has no insurance yet because he can not afford it and his wife is half though her pregnancy. He will be star…

LAWS TO HELP VETS
ID LIKE TO JUST SAY THAT WHEN I WAS DISCHARGED I WASNT SURE IF I WAS GOING TO FILE. I TOOK A FEW APPOINTMENTS WITH ORGANIZATIONS THEN DECIDED TO. I REALLY DECIDED TO DO SO FOR THE ASSUMPTION THAT,,, THE MORE VETERANS THAT APPLY FOR COMPENSATION IS HOW TO HELP OTHER VETERANS GET COMPENSATION... WELL THIS QUICKLY GOT DEFUNKED WHEN I REALIZED THAT THE ONLY WAY FOR THIS TO BE TRUE IS IF YOU TAKE YOUR DENIAL ALL THE WAY TO CVAC AND WIN... AND THIS ONLY HELPS OTHERS WHEN YOUR CASE CREATES A NEW LOOK AT THE ALREADY GIVEN THOUGHTS ON THE LAWS. MY POINT IN ALL THIS IS,,,,, THE GOVERNMENT WILL ALWAYS SHOW HOW EACH CLAIMANT CASE IS DIFFERENT THAN THE OTHER BUT.... THI…
