Hi, I have done research on valid medical problems that are secondary to PTSD. Does anyone know for sure, or have a list of secondary conditions to PTSD that the VA has a history of granting SC on? I know of ED, but and curious if anyone else knows of others. Thanks.

ptsd Just Had My C&p
Hey everyone. So I just had my exam for PTSD. I am currently rated at 30% for anxiety disorder with alchohol abuse with elements of PTSD. I was rated this back in 2009 and since my symptoms have worsened. My doctor told me a long time ago to file an appeal because he diagnosed me with PTSD the first time I met him. Anyways years later and things worse I finally filed. I should mention I do have a CIB and BSM. I was kind of shocked at my appointment. First i didnt sleep for days leading up to it thinking about everything I was going to have to talk about. Then I got there and he didnt really have me talk about Iraq at all. It was weird. Anyways my doc looked at my exam in …

ptsd Non Combat Ptsd Claim Changed To Combat Ptsd By Va
Let me start by saying that I am a newly retired navy surface force independent duty hospital corpsman (11/1/11) and new RVSR. I filed my initial claim on 8/1/11 and received a partial rating from VARO San Diego on 2/1/12. My non combat PTSD claim was denied for further development although I completed my VA PTSD examination on 8/25/11. The examiner diagnosed me with PTSD and provided me with a clear nexus relating my claimed stressor to my humanitarian missions in Senegal. I was diagnosed with a Major depressive disorder while on active duty by a deployment psychologist due to the same claimed stressor. I found out on 4/2/12 that VARO San Diego submitted a PIES request …

ptsd Ptsd Summary & Diagnosis
I am currently at 30% PTSD but was advised to put in for a raise. I did 12-2011 and had a c&p 4-2012. It was kicked back for some reason and I had another c&p 8-2012. My SO wasn't telling me why so I requested both notes. I got the second one back, changed SO's in the process...I like to know why things happen and not be blown off. Anyway the summary his kind of hard to read about yourself but I am curious if you guys can tell me about where you think this would be rated. My GAF for this day was 50, it is always in the 49-52 ballpark with my therapist, according to her. Summary and Diagnosis; The patient continues to have problems with PTSD. It was…

ptsd What Were The Regs For Depression Claims In The 1970S?
hi! i am helping a family member with his ptsd claim/appeal. He initially filed a claim back in mid 1970s after about 4-5 years returning from Vietnam. He attempted suicide and was sent to the va hospital for about 2 months. There is paperwork in his cfile that he filled out for a claim for depression. He was denied based on service connection. They requested his service records from his time in Vietnam and there was no evidence of that in his records. However, there is a summary from the VA hospital stating that he had experienced depression dating back to his time in Vietnam. We are now appealing this decision, trying to get an earlier effective date (I know this is…

15 Months And Still "gathering Evidence"
This is outrageous, who can I talk to to speed things up? I mean I understand their case load but really 15 months and still in the "gathering evidence" stage. I've went to all my meetings, been repeatedly told I have problems, now I just need help. Why does the VA do this? I wish the presidential elections would focus on this for just one second! AHHH so mad
