ptsd Tdiu
I filed for tdiu about a year ago. I have been patiently waiting a response from the VA. My overall rating is 80%. I have 70% rating for Anxiety but with my last c&p I was diagnosed with PTSD and Anxiety in Axis I. I know that VA will only recognize one mental disorder but my question is will the PTSD bump my Anxiety raiting higher to get me closer to a P&T rating? Appreciate your input. Bro' Gate

ptsd Should I Apply Anyway?
60% SC'd/combat vet(50% PTSD, 10%Back) Was on Voc rehab for awhile but my VRCs were dropping like flies which interfered with taking classes(online) continuously. Long story short I was approved for SSDI while on hiatus from Voc rehab(VRCs dropping out and PTSD issues); now a new VRC has recently re approved me to begin the program again I am giving it one more shot, but I am being very cautious because my anxiety is extremely bad, surprised I was allowed to get back on Voc rehab. Questions: *Will SSDI and Vocrehab(online classes) jeopardized each other? Will I lose one or the other? I have yet to send in my SSDI award letter to VARO but will soon do so…

tdiu Tdiu At 60% ?
OK, Just got the DAV unofficiail letter. I am now rated 60%. 20% bilateral knee 20% bilateral hip and 30% stress anxiety. It says the TDIU has been deffered as I am in the development status for that. The question here is will TDIU in this case be permanet or not and will this be TDIU Schedular or IU? If I understand correctly even if schedular benefits are same as 100% correct? Thanks for the info in adbvance guys

tdiu Should I Have Waited?
I am 80% SC, with one condition(TBI) rated at 70% effective March 2011. After reading post here, I quickly applied for SSDI in Feb. 2011 and was awarded SSDI in April 2011. In the meantime, the VA never informed me of TDIU, however my VSO sent all of the documentation and I applied for TDIU while my SSDI was still pending. My question is, should I have waited until the SSDi claim was complete before filing for TDIU so that I would have been able to provide additional info to show that my SC conditions resulted in SSDI? My TDIU claim has been in the decision phase for more than 4 months; I have 4 other conditions pending with this claim (some were initiated by the …

tdiu Va Messed Me Over
OK here is a beautiful mess created by the VA. As earlier stated in a earlier post I had a decided case and put in a request to find status on the case. The status was the case had been decided upon and was in the notification page. However when th VA in Washington applied a TDIU claim to my file I find the whole file back in development. So apparently because they filed the TDIU they will put me back at the starting line and I am in development stage. Lord I waited 14 months for the case be deceided and now I hope not but all signs to a new 14 month wait. Somebody please tell me I am wrong LOL.

ptsd 70% But Do Not Qualify For Tdiu?
I'm now rated at 70%. 30%(PTSD), 20%(DMII), 10%(Tinnitus) and 30% for Parkinsons. It is my understanding that since none of my individual ratings are over 40-60%, I would not qualify for TDIU. Is that true, or should I apply? Also, I keep hearing about scheduler, is this a list of medical issues that would get one to the 100% level? I know Parkinson's is on the Social Security list of impairments. Papa

hypertension Tdiu @90% Frustrated
Well I sit here with these SC 10% hypertension, 30% Migraines Diagnosed as SC to Hypertension, 40% DDD, 60% Hypertensive heart disease and 10% for tinunitius. I am at a sticking point as I was retired for 1 of my SC issues the Migraines which were linked to my Forced retirement back in 2001 from my Civilian Job. What I am getting from the VA is that since the claim I put in for IU DDD after 3 surgeries and a statement from the surgeon who did my last surgery , 3 level spinal fusion I had been turned down on my appeal at the VARO level. Should I go for a hail mary claiming that along with my current back and the migraines for which I was retired back in 2001 they have a…

tdiu I Am 100% Disabled (Bi-Polar) But Neither P&t Disabled Nor Tdiu. What Gives?
I am trying to get my Student loan discharged. You need to have proof from the VA that you are either TDIU or P&T disabled. My problem is I am rated 100% and according to a letter from the VA I am not indicated as TDIU or P&T disabled. Has anyone heard of this? To discharge my loans I need the magic words unemployable or permanently and totally disabled. Since I am already 100% because of Bi-polar shouldn't I be considered P&T disabled? But the letter says because I am schedule for a review in a few years I am not P&T disabled and unemployability is not indicated. UGGGGH!

ptsd Filed For Tdiu Back In Feb. 2011
Currently have an overall rating of 80% for Lumber Spine Herniated nucleus pulposus (10%), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD (50%) Left knee Patellar chondromalacia (10%), Osteopenia(10%), Recurrent dislocation of left shoulder (20%). I also just had arthroscopic left shoulder surgery with relation to the service connected left shoulder in April 2011. Will receiving 100% hard from here? I heard that receiving the surgery should increase my 20% to maybe 50%. Also my VA Mental Health got me a Sleep Apnea machine last month - which I believe is secondary to my PTSD.
