hypertension Applying For Tdiu And Already Retired
Hello I am at another cross road. I had my appeal for TDIU denied the reason was that on my employers form the reason I was retired was not on account of a SC back issue which was the reason I claimed TDIU. I am @ 90% SC with 60% 40% 30% and several 10% that add up to 90%. I looked at the law and for TDIU I qualify % wise and I do not want my claim to go to BVA. Any Ideas? My surgeon has written 3 different times in 3 seperate letters that because of my SC connected back I am unable to work. The VA uses the argument that I was already retired and that TDIU is not warrented. My other question is that I was retired in part for 2 issues PTSD and Migraines. The migraines were…

tdiu Tdiu As Part Of Original Claim
Question: Original claim dated 7-16-10. During development phase, TDIU submitted (VARO received 1-13-11). If approved, will the TDIU date back to the original claim date of 7-16-10, seeing it was part of the original development, or the date when they received it 1-13-11?

Is It To Late
I was granted 80% back in june of 2009, broken down I have IVDS-40% Bladder-40% Tinnitus-10% Gerd-10% Cubital Tunnel-10% Sciatica-10% Major depression-50% I filed for IU and was denied. I did not fight it and I have passed the one year time peroid. I filed for depression in FEB 2010 and got 50% for Major Depressive Disorder. This brought my rating up to 90%. I filed for SSD and had it granted in DEC2010 and was reimbursed from Oct 09 which they found me disabled. My question is can I file for IU again with proof from SSD even after the year deadline?

tdiu Tdiu Claim At Rating Board
I have been calling the 800 number and my service rep and they both tell me that my claim for TDIU is at the Rating board. I have heard that if your claim is at the rating board thats usually good news?? Means they have something to rate? Does this mean that my TDIU has been awarded?

Filling For Iu Before Disability Compensation Application Gets Approved?
I just filed for disability compensation about 2 weeks ago. I have learned a lot since that time and should have done the research ahead of time. I have many questions and my first is: 1. Can I file for IU if I haven't been given a rating yet but have been unable to work for over 4 years with a private doctors diagnosis of chronic daily headaches, bipolar and chronic fatigue? 2. If I do have to wait to file for IU, how long will it take, average, to get a disability rating from my recent submission of the disability compensation application? 3. I was medically and honorably discharge 15 years ago and have had the same problems but not much worse and also bel…

hypertension 100% (Iu P&t): Is There Any Reason To Pursue Claims?
I don't know if this is in the right forum, but since my 100% is from TDIU, I figured here is the right place. I've seen that some vets here continue to file claims even after being rated 100%. Why would that be wise, I wonder? I have a NOD 1 year deadline this week. They low-balled me on my feet (this is according to my VA podiatrist) and denied my knee completely. My NOD would be supported by physical therapy notes, a years worth of podiatry notes, etc. But I know that since I'm 70% PTSD, 10 & 10 for each foot, getting to 100 scheduler isn't likely (right?). I also wonder if I should pursue a claim about my IBS. It was dx'd by VA docs, and there's no…

tdiu Claim Moving Quickly
I filed the form to ask for TDIU on Feb 4. I had a CP beginning of March and my claim already is in the decision phase. I did not submit a letter explaining how my 70% Bi-polar had worsened but it was stated in my form asking for increase. My wife submitted a letter explaining how our lives are effected. My VA psych dr submitted info that my condition had worsened and that I could not work. I submitted a couple of employment forms and requested others but I do not think they responded. They received the records from Social Security showing that I received SSDI for service connected disabilty. I have no idea what the CP doctor put. She could have said I was worse or she…

Question On Rating And Cnp Of My Iu Claim
first of all I wanted to ask, I was told the cnp exams are sent to the va electronically. then I was told the va gets them but has to place them with your file. I am confused. if they come electronically what is the place in the file issue. My second part to this question is that I was told my file was approved for expedite. If this is the case they said they cnp is no in the file and therefore they cant rate it untils it is and that the rater will try to print it tomorrow and if so will rate my file tomorrow. Can a file be rated in a day and also can the rater go a print my file or is it more red tape than this. I was approved for the expedite due top my having po…

ptsd Need Advice On My Situation. Any Help Appreciated.
Here is my situation - I went through a 2 year medical board process via the army through the DES Pilot Program. I was sent proposed ratings of 60% TDRL (army) and 60% VA for the same disabilties. I retire out in late may. I was trying to figure out the process for getting other things added, was confused big time and got help @ my local DAV. The VSO there had me add conditions that were in my medical file. New claims put in for the following: 1. Sleep Apnea w/ Cpap: I was given 5 sheets of paperwork stating that I was compliant with the machine etc and that I have severe sleep apnea blah blah. This paperwork was sent in with the claim. 2. Tinnitus: I origi…

ptsd Need Advise On When To File Please
I can't work anymore.... I'm getting worse over time. My annual review was terrible, I just got a letter of warning for outbursts at superiors, and my co-workers think I am a rude recluse. My VA Psychologist strongly recommends I quit work to reduce the stress brought on by my PTSD. I am currently 70% PTSD (80% total compensation). He is totally supporting my TDIU claim with a great letter of support. Even though I am 63, with a son in High School and heading to college (along with the other already there) I planned to work for years yet, but it's clear I can't do my work any more. I already quit a part time job last year at the encouragement of the VA. I was dri…
