A superb award for a widow: http://www4.va.gov/vetapp09/files2/0910441.txt There was no SC in affect at all in the veteran's lifetime. The death certificate listed no presumptive disability or any disability that seemed to have any SC potential. The veteran's SMRs were burned in the St Louis fire. The widow not only proven the veteran had SC PTSD in his lifetime ut that it contributed to his death. She had IMOs and a letter from Dr. Boscarino as to a study he had done regarding stress and heart disease. But this claim a lot of work on her part . It looks to me like she filed th…

How Many Times Does The Va Require Widows And Orphans To Beg
The VA website explains that some widows did not get paid because the VA didn’t always know they had a surviving spouse. http://www.vba.va.gov/survivorsbenefit.htm VA to Provide Payments to Eligible Surviving Spouses “Because VA does not always know if a veteran is survived by a spouse, some surviving spouses have not received the month-of-death benefit to which they are entitled.” However, those who have read the news know about the “computer glitch.” The explanation of the computer glitch is that the VA never updated its automated computer systems, which sends out checks and notification letters. As a result, spouses were either denied the final month of …

ptsd Cause Of Veterans Death
Hi, I have been reading the forums for a while and thought I would post a question concerning DIC. My husband a Combat Wounded VietNam Vet, passed away in January 2004. When he passed away he was rated 90% Disabled and had a claim in for TDIU (which he had filed in March 2003). In March 2004 I received the decision which denied his TDIU. I as the widow filed a new claim for the TDIU and Cause of Veterans Death in March 2004. Needless to say it was denied and I appealed it. I had a hearing before a BVA Judge in Washington DC in March 2008. In August 2008 I was awarded the TDIU claim with back pay to March 2003. and the Cause of Veterans death was remanded to se…
