Obstructive Sleep Apnea with Oxygen Concentrator
Hello, A few days ago i had a overnight Pulse Oximetry test done. I got a call from my local VA stating that they had submitted a order to a local contractor to have an Oxygen Concentrator install in my bedroom. I was told to use it at night why sleeping. I was told that i'm not getting enough Oxygen why I'm sleeping. What is the rating for this?? I'm already getting 50% for Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Gerd & Ibs Considered Pyramiding ?
I'm not trying to be ungrateful here but I am having a hard time understanding how these two would be considered that. By physical locations they have to do with two different ends. GERD has to do with the esophagus and hiatus. The dyspepsia (diarrhea) has to do with the bowels, the lower intestines and anus. So if there are two independent systems how is it considered pyramiding ? Yes it is part of the whole digestive tract however, and I misreading the regs. As of right now it has been proposed to raise the GERD up to 10% and IBS remain at 0%, even though from reading the CFR and matching my symptoms, regardless of the recent surgery, the GERD could arguably have…

Gwi Muscle Pain Questions
For you guys and gals with muscle / joint pain. Do you find yourself having to stay sedentary in order to keep your pain levels down? The doctors want me to exercise and I try to explain to them the situation that I am in and they appear to be clueless. Also, are any of you guys experiencing something like I am. I can pick up my chihuahua which weighs about 7pds and cradle him in my left arm for about 15-20mins while I am outside talking to my neighbor across the street. When I put him down my arm muscles are sore, but the following day (and 3-4 days after that) my arm will be in so much pain that my arm feels like it is broken. I told a VA doctor about this and his…

Anyone Diagnosed With Myoclonus (Body Twitching)?
I've been telling my VA docs, including the doc in my initial C&P exam, that my arms and legs jerk and twitch uncontrollably. It feels like I am receiving an electrical shock that can travel through my whole body. This has been going on for 20 years. None of the docs ever took note or asked any questions to explore my complaint. In the last 6 months or so, the frequency and severity of the twitching has increased to the point that it is affecting my daily life. Imagine drinking hot coffee when your arm suddenly jerks, spilling hot coffee everywhere! Its also embarrassing being around other people when my body is flailing about for no reason. I finally had a …

Iraqi Freedom Question
So I have been seeing the same civilian doctor since my medical retirement. I have suffered from various unexplained symptoms. My civilian doctor has now diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Migraine Headaches, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She has reviewed all my soldier medical records, and my Va medical records. After a long talk she feels that these diagnoses were caused from my deployments in Iraq. She has only prescribed me a couple medications for my CFS for muscle and joint pain. After talking she felt it was better i take everything to my VA PCP and get it documented and get free meds from the VA, to help me with costs. Below is the letter she has written…

Gulf War Chronic Medically Unexplained Illness
Hi, I'm currently 60% disabled, having been recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia though suffered with it "undiagnosed" for 6 years before I was actually given a diagnosis, Fibromyalgia is medically unexplained, I've done tons of research already on the disorder, my question now is can anyone point me in the right direction to validate my claim when it comes to Gulf War Syndrome, what evidence would be heavily weighted evidence in proving Gulf War Syndrome illness? My understanding is that no nexxus needs to be formed between service and the illness only pre-qualifying factors of whether I fit into the category of a Gulf War Vet which I in fact do.... More so where c…

Denied Fibromyalgia And Ibs
I found out yesterday I was denied for fibromyalgia and ibs. I was in the gulf war 90-94. I put in a claim for presumptive. I had 2 dbqs filled out from specialist and all my medical records sent in. I called the ro to see why it was denied. First he said because there was nothing in my military records. I replied it is presumptive because I was in gulf war. He put me on hold. When he came back he told me the doctor who did the c+p linked it to another illness. I told him I saw the c+p and the doctor never mentioned that. She actually backed up my doctor diagnosis by finding all the tender points. He then said he would call me back. When he called back he told me there wa…

hypertension GWI Denied - Feedback Please
Hi All, Was hoping I could get some feedback. I just had a C&P for Gulf War Illness Syndrome. Attached are the C&P results. Kind of long, sorry. Anyway, I received the Statement of Case and was surprised to be denied on everything. Especially Sleep Apnea and Hypertension. Also have Osteoarthritis in both hips. I am already collecting 30% disability for Eczema as a Gulf War Hazard since 1998. I am currently appealing PTSD, Anxiety and Depression. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!
