I did the 12 week version of it and it does help develop ways to cope. This therapy gets pretty deep so stay strong and make sure you have a good support system at home.
 
I do remember signing something but can’t recall exactly what it was. It could have been a contract but not sure at this time.

Have copies of your evidence with you in case there's something they don't have on file. It's all going to be based on the evidence on hand and in file. The DRO is going to ask questions about certain evidence and you'll have your chance to ask questions if you do choose to. 
Dress comfortable and appropriate for the setting.

They will send you a form to appeal what they denied. You could try to do a reconsider but that could take months for an answer which would ultimately delay filing for an appeal if it's denied again.

Yes that's what it sounds like. It could change back to gathering evidence or it may even final by the time I've written this. You're just gonna have to see what the final decision is and if you disagree with it then it's time to consider an appeal.

You're not alone. Many times here our members will tell others to get a hobby or something to that effect and honestly unless your case gets advanced there is not much else you can do.
They are currently things going on that the Congress is supposed to be working on ( https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/2288/all-actions?q={"search"%3A["congressId%3A115+AND+billStatus%3A\"Introduced\""]}&r=1&overview=closed#tabs ) to help the times but even if it goes well it's going to take VA a long time to implement changes. I'm gonna give it a blind shot. In 2010 they did make changes to phsyc disability policies.
What I'm reading is where they possibly gave different ratings based on the medical evidence for that time period. It's really difficult to be certain without reading decision.

Try to look at your disabilities and letters in Ebenefits it could show you changes.

If your VA doctors fill out the DBQ that you got from SSDI you shouldn't have any examinations to go to. Make sure your VA doctors know it's for SSDI. I was denied 1 day before I got my paperwork back from my VA PYSD. Now it looks like I have to go to a hearing now but it's ok and this isn't about me. Just make sure you tell them you need it quick.
