  1. I agree with everyone above. You need VA to give you a PTSD diagnosis , you need a stressor as to what caused it,,like anything while in the military that was of trauma to you like witness someone being killed. or seeing a dead body or anything that was horrible to you that has caused you to have bad nightmares cold sweats deprived of sleep because of this. you need a Specialist Board Certified PTSD Dr to see you and in his medical report state that it is at least likely as not this veterans PTSD is due from his military service. The only thing is if this happen to you AFTER your military service it will be hard to prove to the VA to make a SC connection. TDIU if you can't work or do the job you was train for and can't be around people, you need medical reports from that. I suggest you get a IMO/IME and ask for VA Voc Rehab...if they can't help you then they will usually say this veteran is not feasible to retrain due to his disability. Evidence of stressors while in the military is very important obviously. you need STR's to state this indeed happen on certain date and where. while in the military. My humble opinion Religion & Politics should not be discussed here on hadit With that Said, I do hope we all are believers in our own way. jmo Good Luck ........................Buck.
  2. Oh Sorry GP. but I knew you would be helpful....Thanks! .....................Buck
  3. oh yeah I agree TALON II FE I've been to the pain clinic number of times. ...................Buck
  4. In short detail. If the VA Raters read all your medical documentation that IS supportive of your claim they should award your claim! jmo (just my opinion) ...........Buck
  5. Good Luck Everyone! hopefully you will hear something soon. ...............Buck

    My Protest

or ''If you think veterans receive the best medical care from Veterans Administration Medical Centers, think again or just ask any veteran. The reasons VA Medical Centers are built to provide excellence medical care for Veterans, Unfortunately we are not receiving such Care. you want proof just go visit any VAMC. Wanna see the after effects of War? Visit a Veterans Hospital!
  7. I went to my VA Doc last week, I been feeling more depressed and she did diagnose me with MDD About 6 months ago, well last week I went to my 6 month check up and I mention to her the meds she put me on don't seem to be helping, so she change my meds for this. I also mention to her that I had been feeling very tried and fatigue during the day no energy what so ever and no hard work or moving around to cause me to be this tired, and my bones hurt and ache all over like when you have a bad case of the flu. The vist with the Doc went good I guess but now she set me up appointment for the pain clinic just because I mention to her I ache all over like flu like symptom's but no flu Looks like to me she is an MD and qualified to prescribe me some type of medicine to help me feel better,, other than sending me to the pain clinic. or been more through with the examination. Anyone ever went through something like this? ..............Buck
  8. This is why we vets need to stay on top of everything and everyone. I firmly believe that if you have medical documentation that you were injured while in the military and if your disability did not flare up until years after discharge and you have more medical evidence to support your claim you will win. If RO reads all submitted medical evidence that supports your claim they have no choice but to award. Unfortunately they don't some times. Its always good to hi-lite in your medical reports the important things that supports your claim, ''they may read that part'' jmo ....................Buck
  9. Congratulations. Good news to hear! ................Buck
  10. Also I believe hadit member georgiapapa is retired from the US Federal Marshalls Agency! ...................Buck
  11. georgiapapa, sorry to hear about your neighbor, hopefully they can get it, I'm glad you take the test every 3 or 4 years that's a wise decision. I don't think age matters, from actors Patrick Swayze, to Michal London. If you have stress or worry in your life take the test! We just never know until its to late. .............Buck
  12. Tbird I hope things go well for you this am, this is one of my reasons for posting this, stress is a bad thing and we tend to never think about what problems it causes us in medical terms. I hope all hadit veterans will go take this test soon if they never had one. ................Buck
  13. okay. Take your DD214 to your VAMC and go to Admissions ...with your ID that's all you need , then just answer the clerks Questions Don't say anything about that letter ...if its a problem it will show up in the computer. ..................Buck
  14. I would file cue on them if the use your age to be denied! ..................Buck
  15. e-CFR data is current as of June 11, 2015 Title 38 → Chapter I → Part 4 → Subpart A → §4.19 Browse Previous | Browse Next Title 38: Pensions, Bonuses, and Veterans' Relief PART 4—SCHEDULE FOR RATING DISABILITIES Subpart A—General Policy in Rating §4.19 Age in service-connected claims. Age may not be considered as a factor in evaluating service-connected disability; and unemployability, in service-connected claims, associated with advancing age or intercurrent disability, may not be used as a basis for a total disability rating. Age, as such, is a factor only in evaluations of disability not resulting from service, i.e., for the purposes of pension. 16. I don't know when they started to appear?, The Dr said they (POYLUPS) gather up over years & years, they get them with the microscopic pincher while there in there you don't feel it, this is why its important to take the test. They can't be seen via x-ray's, we never know unless we take the colonoscopy. Dr just said he got them all no thrush. no treatment ...................Buck
  17. yeah it is hard to prepare for it but its worth it, I had a hard time getting it all down every 15 minutes but I did it and boy does that stuff work. They found about 8 polyps in me, polyps turn into cancer...they get them while there in there. They gave me a I don't care IV...& I remember looking at this monitor as the test was going on..just feel pressure at times & that's about it. If anyone of you reading this and you have not had one, please ask your Doc to schedule it! ..................Buck
  18. GP I meant to say Zoloft and not Lyrica Lyrica was in my brain I guess... ...here's a another kicker the Doc change it again. I can't remember what she said the name of it was,,,I should be getting it in the mail soon I'll let you know the name of it. ....................Buck
  19. I agree ArNG11, My reason posting this is because as veterans we get caught up in our claims so much and stress out about the whole process as we wait for a decision...and we tend to let our health go, of course this is all voluntary but its just something we never think about getting done until were older and that maybe to late. ...................Buck
  20. jOHN999, Be sure and save your phone bill with those Gov Numbers you called as proof you called them it may come in handy! Good Luck on your protest. use a sign that is not to heavy but stays strong use bright color letters in neon! and take your umbrella & lots of bottle water maybe a small ice chest! Good Luck! .................................................Buck
  21. correction on the time served (read your letter) they obviously change that in Sept 1980 to serve at least 24 months for VA health care eligibility. It use to be just after you were sworn in or was hurt in basic training and was medically discharged. ..........................Buck
  22. Just a reminder to the younger veterans & the older ones too >. go get a Colonoscopy test, don't wait until its to late, you never know what's happening with your insides, get your VA Doc to order the test, if they don't do them at your VAMC they will order outside private care to do it. the test is very simply and no pain so please don't wait until you get older or until your over 50. I use to think it was a horrible test but its not, the only dreaded part is the night before you go to your appointment you have to drink a eight ounce glass 1'/2 Gal of this solution every 15 minutes until its all gone (it cleans you out) Its just something we never think about until we get older, However This test could save and prolong your life. ........................................Buck
  23. you just need to go to your local VAMC and go to admissions. take id and DD214 ................Buck
  24. The Dallas VAMC Dental is rated pretty high as for as quality work they have a nice waiting area and the dentist are all nice, I 've seen probably about 6 to 8 dentist there, including the head hacho They filled all my cavity's ...my problem is the partials just don't stat tight for some reason...they tighten them but after a week or so eating they get lose, my front teeth are all good and I have them cleaned every 6 months. It just takes a long time to get an appointment. I think with implants you need all your existing teeth extracted to get implants? I am skeptical about implants once they are in there there in there for good...what if you don't like them? the anchor for the implants are pretty rough from what I been told? stitched inside your upper and lower jawbone they don't come out. and there supposed to be just like your regular teeth when you put the dentures in &you never have to take them out at night like regular set dentures or partials. I am just afraid I won't like them. ......................Buck ..........Buck
  25. Iam not sure it was sc or not ? just bad teeth to big cavity's to fill so they pulled them. had two root canals done and they ended up pulling those too...this was back when the VAMC had some private Dentist come in and help with the back-log to help speed up the process of veterans in pain and having to wait. back around 2008 09 Navy4life, The VA made me some partials but they don't fit good I been back several times for them to fix that problem but the only thing is when I do they fit better and stay tight but when I eat with them for about a week they start to get lose again and they have made me two pair, and they still don't fit right..I just got tired of going to them they seem to think there's nothing wrong with them and said I just have to get use to them...I've tried and tried and they still get lose when I eat ...so I don't wear them anymore. If I had private Insurance I's sure go see one of them dentist. Don't get me wrong the VAMC is a nice dentistry &it could just be that particular Dentist...its the only one at my VAMC that does that specialty. They seem to have nice new medical equipment up to date ect,,ect,,....its just hard to fit partials when your a snaggle tooth eh! I wish you the best and I hope you get to use the VA Dentist, they are good Dentist...most of them anyway. ............Buck
