  1. It seems to be the way of the world, these days.
  2. Well, could be so, 'Vync'. However, a history of corruption within the VA goes back to the beginning of it's inception. I would like to see a real outside audit of that department.
  3. That's my mantra also, however, sometimes it gets ridicules...
  4. What Government are you seeking employment with??? Why wouldn't you take the "Disabled vet points preference"? Very odd??? I don't mean to pry, but what kind of Gov job are you seeking?
  5. Please allow me to join in on your rant... #*?+#*%!
  6. Where did your VSO get the info & why couldn't the vso send you a hard copy of what was being read to your Hubby over the phone?
  7. That is an old VARO ploy. Maybe it was sent to the wrong address.... That's the excuse they gave me recently.LOL Why doesn't your VSO find out why you did not receive the first letter instead of just telling you "it was rated first"???? What a world... Cmdr. Bob
  8. JMHO... YES. I have a SC right knee diagnostic code #5257, and a SC left leg amputation diagnostic code# 5165. I am looking at one of my an old 1987 VA "Rating Decision" award letters, also awarding me a "Bilateral factor of 4.6%... It sounds like you all went on a VA roller coaster rating ride over the weekend. You have my sincere sympathies for that experience, (one I know only too well). This is so not fair to you all. Do you have the "granted TDIU" notice in hand yet???
  9. You may have just answered your own question,'Charleese'. I understand it's always good to double check. The VA math is confusing to many folks. Please follow thru and let us know, when you receive the official VARO rating award letter. Best wishes for a successful resolution, Cmdr. Bob
  10. Welcome aboard, 'wdroberson'. Have you received the VARO "PTSD denial letter yet?
  11. Good Morning Jack, As a child, I lived in the P.I., on Clark AFB. My Dad was in the USAF. SAC 1950s Beautiful country. I went back in the 1980s and helped create WWII memorial libraries. Best wishes, Bob
  12. How will a complaint help your claim? How far along in the appeal process are you? Are you asking for a DRO review or BVA? do you have a NSO or vet rep as your POA? How did you find out about the cut&paste job on your C&P exam?. Can you post more info about your claim? I experienced a quasi-similar situation, and got a new C&P exam ordered. It has delayed my DRO appeal, however, I feel it was worth it. With the old C&P, I was sure to be denied, even after waiting over two years for the appeal. I understand your frustration. Hang in there. Best wishes for a successful outcome, C.B.
  13. You need a second VAMC opinion re: that MICROWAVE story ...
  14. Have you filed a "Notice of Disagreement" NOD yet? As you may already know, you have one year to do so... Good Luck, Cmdr. Bob
  15. Interesting profile name 'baca', Psalm 84:5-7... Congratulations. Cmdr. Bob
  16. The VA... It's been a long bureaucratic year for you, Kim82. Among other aspects of your journey, I understand the waiting and I celebrate your relief. Congratulations, CB

  18. Well that's an odd send off,TS. As you know , you are your best advocate. "Feet Swelling", "Weird Shaking"... Contact your PCP or the surgery unit at the VAMC ASAP...
  19. screen cap from "Apocalypse Now"... That scene depicts my Vietnam experience... Here is the real deal ~
  20. When I was 18 years old, one Sunday morning, just after Tet, 1968, while serving in a light weapons infantry line unit, as my Company Commander's RTO, I was required to enter a mine field to render aid to the wounded, comfort the dying, and retrieve the dead. Incoming fire was reported. I was severely wounded after the 4th explosion. This began my 40+ year odyssey with the V.A. Bob
