  1. Well, hit the 125 day mark, time to call the DAV and say whats up? Will do this tommorro! Hopefully they will be able tell me something.
  2. Awesome news!!!, congradulations!!
  3. Hitting the 125 day mark on Tuesday, this is when the DAV says I should have an answer, we shall see, been patiently twiddling my thumbs here!!! I adopted two more of my grand kids on 4/18, so I added them as dependants, we will see which gets approved first, my granted claim or my application for adding dependants.
  4. How are you guys getting on ebenefits, I haven't been able to get on for a week now, keeps coming up to the DS login, can't get the ebenefits log in, any advice???
  5. What is MOPH Not sure if you can change your POA, I would think you can anytime you want to, I used to have the american legion and loved that guy, but stupid me changed. I am a life member at DAV and VFW. I know what you mean, I have done all my own work at local level then the DAV at BVA level did a great job for me, so I am happy with that but not to pleased at local level. What VARO has your claim?
  6. Who to Believe?? DAV says it is assigned to rater as of March 1, 2012, 800 number people say that it is still in development. Who would you believe??
  7. fingers crossed for ya! ;)
  8. Wow, what VARO were you dealing with? Glad to hear everything has finally come through for you, thanks for sharing your update, gives us all a lift :)
  9. Trying to stay busy, today is the 1st ever Easter Egg hunt at our VFW, had a lot to do with planning and getting donations for it. Should be a fun time for all the kids, weather is cooperating, Easter Bunny is ready to go, today I am going to enjoy time with my kids. Everytime I hear these kids laugh and see a smile on their faces I know a little healing is happening. It is a lot of hard work raising little ones again, but it keeps me on my toes. I have taken the "forward march" approach with them, kids are amazing how they overcome and adapt, they are true survivors. Happy Easter everyone!
  10. once they are adopted they will be eligible, the one we adopted 8 years ago has been on my dependants with no problems. DAV says I should hear something round the end of the month, hope so.........
  11. Carlie, I am adopting two of them on April 18, 2012, one has been with me for since she was a baby, I adopted her a long time ago, so yes, soon they will be my dependants legally. Also, an update, my claim has been assigned a rater. Not sure how long it will be there. Hopefully soon :)
  12. They say the developers are working on it.
  13. I have no advice on this but one thing I would do for sure is to request a copy of your records if they happen to appear again. This is total carelessness on their part.
  14. Thanks Carlie, LOL I am raising three grandkids, 8, 7, and 3, they keep me pretty busy, we were thinking about putting in some raised beds, gardening may be a good thing for them, I know they love to rob my grape vines. I pop on here everyday to read the success stories, brightens my day :)
  15. still waiting......................................... today is 81 days........................
  16. I seen a few other OIG audits online when I google searched this, if you google VARO OIG reports you can find them pretty easily. I did not go into them because I was only interested in Pittsburgh and they are quite lengthy.
  17. http://www.va.gov/oi...1-04216-103.pdf Thought you all would like to read this, not sure if this is the right area of the forum for it, if not, I apologize, maybe one of the moderators could move it. VERY interesting read. I assume these are available for public view for every VARO. Take a look, worth your read if this is your VARO.
  18. I hear ya, when I talked to POA I was down right disgusted, this is an old claim, I am happy to hear a time frame anyway, I am half way through that. When I talked to them today, he told me that a guy that was granted a claim by the BVA in the beginning of Nov 2011 just got his award letter this past week, so the 4 month time frame seems to be about right. Here waiting with you, :)
  19. Geeeeeeesh, been over 60 days, so I call DAV rep and he says they have been around 4 to 5 month time frames on grant of appeals. So I guess I have another 60 or so to wait. Come on, it is a grant of benefits, it already grew gray hair at the VARO once, guess it will again.
  20. Hoping for a good outcome for you.
  21. Congrats!!! what regional office was your claim at? Just curious.
  22. Troy, Have you found out how long it will actually take them to assign the percentage? Are there laws in place for that time frame?
  23. Had exam on Feb. 3rd, Got all my results. Va Printed them on Feb. 8,, they told me some time ago that norm is 56 days for our VARO, that would be this weekend, hopefully hear something soon.
