  1. Just curious if someone could toss an example of how much (ballpark wise) this 'extra' $20,000 insurance is for a IU p&t vet. Thanks bunches. Cg'up2009! (still no 'eee' in 'whoop' - soon?)
  2. Thanks all - {{you'all}} are the best, what kind words, sweet sentiments and wishes. Don't feel the 'whoop' yet, stunned still, grabbing a cow to bite and maybe steppin' out a bit - if I find the '-eee' I'll let ya know. Here is praying and wishing the best for everyone's efforts to get whats due. for my family's future, Cowgirl 'up2009! ...and leave the silly cares that fill My mind behind me
  3. That is great news ...let us know how it goes, hope it goes smooth for ya.
  4. Wow Bonzai - glad to celebrate with you! What a super way to find out - by attending to business, odd the clerk on the phone couldn't at least confirm your percentage. I AM SO VERY Happy for you, I feel like wearing on of those colorful beaner cap with a propeller on your behalf, but probably fall off while doing the Hokey Pokey spinning myself around for your joy!!! Guess you and I can buy an extra bag o'candy for the tricksters (few takers out here - it'll save for Christmas!). Congratulations, on getting whats due you, I hope your life is more comfortable by far! :):):)! All the Best to you and yours Bonzai-dude, Cg'up2009! *(Larry - 'implode'? wouldn't want anyone to experience that!)
  5. Seen those posters and white boards too. Not very professional to display internal management issues to clients. Aren't we job security? Don't see this type 'laundry' displayed by private medical providers. Got one VA provider shows me screen inputs during my visit - right on! Isn't the Robo is called 'Mr. HINES'? and this 'Hines' doesn't have lips? Most envelopes I recieve aren't sealed with a kiss. lips or 'lipstick on a robot'? he he. Tape would help - Even 'danger' Will Robinson had a robot with arms that could tape things? or was that Jetsons?
  6. Our nations flags should fly at halfmast for each and everyone.
  7. Feel free to come back with questions or read. The facts - medical opinions win benefits due you. All the best - Cg'up2009!
  8. Thank you each very very much. Stunned here and trying to get happy, thats the truth. Guess I got concerned it was all written in magic ink, so I whispered the rating at bottom of first post. (yes, iu pt ch.35 OMG!?!) Thank you stalwhart sister Carlie, distinctive freind and leader Pete53, Sistah-in-arms and wingman Wings, Jbasser ((JBASSER)), sweet Navy'doc ya got these ole eyes leakin & can't see to moonwalk just now, soon, brrother Bronco, still QC'ing decision, rare retro chance, but who knows, VA office symbol? try OMDB, ;) And Mr. Lateral and Loquacious Larry wow, a Happy 'Hat' Dance - aw, thank you~! Akwidow, sincerely hoping fair resolution for you and Terry, your Good Works are inspirational. TBIRD TBIRD TBIRD - Yes, I've been here nearly 3 years? - I'm speechless. Lady TBIRD - Thank you and God Bless you way beyond what my and my husbands words can express.
  9. Jbasser, you know I couldn't had done it without your constant support! THANK you ~!!!! My 'heart' goes out to you.
  10. Its here, I want to be happy and just holler - Thank God, Hadit and the believers at the VA for being there for my family and me! Oh wow. I hope you can each and all hear me! Who else but veterans and their family would understand the struggle through the storm to get whats due?** ;) ** Someday I'll wake and rub my eyes And in that land beyond the skies, after the fog You'll find me I'll be a laughing daffodil in the sunrise And leave the silly cares that fill My mind behind me my family will just wonder why! (*italic verse recorded, cut from Wizard of Oz). (** **) IU p&t
  11. Hm. good question. Disrespect is a trigger. Having a doc visit and when the doc offers me 'any questions?' his hand is on the door to leave...... Having a provider (nurse, doc,PA, etc) sit at the computer asking me questions with their back to me.....(am I making faces at em? yup) Going to the pharmacy, getting a number, sit down in a congested waiting area with a variety of vets with breathing noises, get up (need to use hand rails to rise with), sit down with tech, hand over my ID with photo, name and number to the tech, after 5 minutes of them reading the computer screen, recieve card back. get back up, return to wait, sit down, wait for small screen on far side of room to display my name, get up, stand in line at the window, being crowded in at the window from other anxious vets within two-three feet of me, tell the clerk behind that plexiglass my name, hand my card over, he carries it to get my medicine, returns my card to me through the window tray, then I have to access a security door 'box' to get my medicine in a brown paper sack.......so remember to use Healthevet! No ID exchange needed! yay.(walmart? videocams and electronic ID checks smoother) all that pharmacy trails happens to each veteran, no matter size, color, disability, disrespectful. p.s. All in all, most of my treatment at the VHA is rather really good, just some things get my 'trigger' on.
  12. Cowgirl curious question of the day. Say a vet recieves SSDI then IU for same condition, is IU effective to SSDI date?
  13. http://www.goldencorral.com/military/
  14. Congratulations ~ ! thanks for the post and inspiration. Thank you for your service. I second the motion of "thanks' to Lady Tbird! Cowgirl'up2009!
  15. Yup, I get ya, acutally I pictured millions of those little USB drives on a keychain! Not sure if anyone recalls those plastic old hotel keyfobs that say 'drop in any mailbox if found' to return to Hotel LaDeDa address, etc. Ha.
  16. Well yes clean up cookies and temp files, but IP is very special.
  17. Stack? Paper? Wait, aren't they all in a modern computer program? :D
  18. I am curious too whats the next thing for you. If you need a test for sleep apnea, ask for it? Who is treating you for your your HBP? My guess, which could be wrong or corrected by someone else here - put in for an increase. But, wait, you just got rated IU; so maybe NOD if you have the goods. Your psych 'asked' about sleep apnea so thats a start. And if the VA may have overlooked sc your HBP, followup. Of course, keep any Vocational Rehab paper that says 'infeasible', though I think since your IU thats a 'given'. Just thought I'd post some ideas, no clear answers, sorry. All the best to ya, Cowgirl'up2009!
  19. Targeted marking - identification of threats - terms of service, your're right, its all in the details and how the reader interpets it I suppose. Poor memory here at times, so even a lil reminder doesn't hurt me. Am retired military so very little really surprises me. :D
  20. bump - needs moved to General Claims
  21. Think Commander Bob referenced 'clincal trials' and veterans possible unknown participation. So I took a look at the VA website for Hippa and FOIA information. I found this - very broad interpetation of, imho (cgho) - if they wanna get my info they're gonna. (Haven't found where I can opt out as of yet!) Wakeup Note: When I first searched the VA website for 'privacy policy' its an amazing read. For instance THEY COLLECT - what path we took to their website, the site we visit just before or after accessing and I.P. address and browser used, + other things. Yup, changing my Internet Ops asap!!
  22. Good point, learned the hard way bout having solid diagnosis proof myself. Took many years to get it 'righted'. Get it in writing then proceed. All the best to ya, Cowgirl'up2009!
  23. Ok, I gotta call em today - ever see a catawampous cowgirl!? ......
  24. This doesn't look current - [26 FR 1579, Feb. 24, 1961] - but could help someone with an older claim.
