Question
Aiden
I filed for PTSD in 2006 and have been denied over and over even though I was diagnosed with severe PTSD by a VA psychiatrist. I submitted my evidence supporting my claim. I was told that Afghanistan wasnt a stressful environment. I dont understand what the deal is with the VA. There is a young man that lives close to me that was in the Coast Guard and he witnessed a drug bust on the Mississippi River and he recieved 100% for PTSD but Afghanistan is less stressful than that. Everywhere that I try and turn for assistance with my claim is a dead end. Any pointers or help would be appreciated. I currently have 50% for my back due to an airborne injury and my right knee. I cannot even put my shoes on by myself anymore but that it only good for 40% and 10% for a torn ACL in my right knee. The VA doctor told me that both knees had the tear but only one was paid for. I have made this statement before and I will say it again, I would rather be back in Afghanistan than to deal with the stress that the VA puts on me and my fellow veterans.
