I Called Bob

Hey, Vets. This works great. I called Bob on Wednesday. Thursday morning the BVA gomer calls to find out whazzup. Then today the DRO calls up to say they are doing my DRO (which I didn't ask for) on my NOD of my CUE denial for a rating reduction. VA Seattle is 545 days out on DRO reviews. I submitted the NOD on 4/30/2014. The DRO asked me what I wanted. 100% from 1994 and SMC S.

Thank you Georgiapapa for your kind words. I feel there are maybe a couple of reasons why I got a response so quickly. First, it could be quickly and easily verified that there had already been one CUE and I stated clearly how insane it was that anyone could read a letter from a doctor that was on VA letterhead and determine she was a private physician. I also stated that it was no wonder Veterans are frustrated and angry when a DRO responds to a CUE in an SOC with a CUE in the SSOC. I think maybe Secretary McDonald might have made a phone call to the Nashville Regional office to see if they knew how to read. So Berta, maybe there is an epidemic of illiterate VA staff.

I really hate being negative about the VA because I know there are so many who do their best to do everything possible to help the Veteran. Unfortunately, just like any other place of employment there are others who are there just to get the pay. The faster you get it off your desk the more you get done. When I went from a private law firm to the Kentucky Attorney General Office I left behind computers for the old "WANG" system. I didn't have a clue what it was or how to use it, however, I did my best until the new AG was elected. His first day in Office was January 2nd but the week between Christmas and New Years was used to replace every system with new Windows computers. Everyone was stunned when they returned to work. I started telling them how great it would be and all the different things they would be able to accomplish. Their response was "shut up, if they find out how easy it is to do all that then they will expect us to do it"!

I have a question for Asknod? about TDIU P/T....60's70's VietNam Veteran 50 years old back 2003 with SC severe hearing impairment and bad word discrimation and un-feasable to retrain this veteran.

When a veteran files for this claim and presents his evidence and is denied Files NOD gets DRO Hearing, goes to the VARO presents new evidence IMO's notorizes sign affdavits from friends /family, favorable letter from Voc Rehab. veteran has the hearing with VSO his Spouse and the DRO & Rating Specialist only present, claim was expedited via DRO and the results of award of TDIU P/T with no future exams schedule and the DRO himself states ''with a DRO and a Rating Specialist at his hearing it is very obvious that this veteran disability is real''and his disabilitys is of nature.

as years go by ok veteran has this rating for 12 years with out any change.

Why would the VA say this veteran is not P/T? and possibly send letter propose to reduce this Veteran %??

I realize the VA word is worthless by vebal but if what they say is in writing usually goes then how can they take away this veterans benefits or propose to reduce?

I have a friend who has been waiting over 2 yrs for a requested DRO hearing on his appeal. Earlier in Nov he called the Waco RO and they told him it would be at least another year before he could get his DRO hearing. I suggested on 11/20 he email Bob. He did. On Tuesday 11/25 the Waco RO called him to schedule a C&P and set up the DRO hearing.

I retired from a gov agency. We had people who purposely did the very minimum to keep their jobs. They would openly tell you if we do more than the minimum, the agency will not hire another person so according to our Union we would be depriving someone of a job. I would ask "Do you realize how hard you make it on the rest of us as we try to take up the slack because you purposely do just the minimum?. They did not care and even faulted us for trying to do what we were hired to do.

Be responsible for our time!

Be responsible with the taxpayers money! (We authorized claims and paid them. It was GSA not the VA)
