Rootbeer22,

Wish you all the best on getting the IMO/IME you need to finish this battle off.

In reference to the C-File request, I had waited well over a year and hadn't heard anything out of the Houston VARO, so after months of call and IRIS requests, I used the nuclear option and went with a Presidential inquiry.  I sent a simple request for the C-File, giving a breakdown of my circumstances and wait time, and within about a month, I received a hardcopy of my C-File from the Houston VARO.  The cover sheet was even filled out by hand.

I'm thinking that this is what put a rush on it.  If you are running out of time, might be a worthwhile shot.  Good luck!

If I had the actual  QTC CP Exams

rootbeer, if you have a VSO, you can request a copy of your QTC C&P exam results from them.  As long as they have made a decision, they can go into their virtualVA system and just print them out.  I have gotten copies of everyone of mine and my wifes exams this way.

Good luck!

Travis

Remember you get what you pay for. In seeking an IME it would suit you better if you got an opinion from a Specialist that is an Expert on your condition i.e. Heart = Cardiologist, Feet = Podiatrist and so on. Furthermore why would you need an exam for a current condition and current meaning "At the time of you filing your claim" and NOT during an office visit? In that case all you should have to do is get a copy of your Medical Records and send it to the Doctor for him to review, assess and formulate a well written IME.

Some of you may ask why NOT get a current exam and the answer is suppose you go to OKC and your condition has improved? I don't know anything about this Dr. Ellis, but the V.A. isn't stupid and sooner or later a Veteran who does not have a track record of seeing a Dr. for a condition will try and use a thinly pieced together IME via a single office visit in OKC and the house of cards will fall.

Good Luck and Semper Fi.

I am considering using Clifford Vocational....does anyone have an actual opinion that they have done that you can redact personal information and post.  Would like to see an example of their work.

Travis, I will ask my attorney  at Piemonte Law if she would be willing to provide me a copy of one of their opinions, redacted. They contract Dr Clifford often and she speaks very highly of him. I will also ask one of my friends that have used him before, the other vet that I know used him moved to Utah. Its possible if you call and speak to him he can email you some examples as well.

Coreyspr89, i agree completely in regards to trying to obtain a specialist to do the IMO. Unfortunately, it is often out of a veterans reach financially to afford an IMO from a specialist, and quite often they are reluctant to do imos. In my case, I can no longer travel long distances, the last two time I tried I ended up hospitalized, and there are many other veterans in the same boat. In that case, the only option is to send our recs off to a doctor who is willing to thoroughly review them and write his statement. Dr Ellis is very respected, because he is honest and ethical.  Just because we pay him does not mean he is going to agree that our disabilities are related to a and b, he goes off of our strs, treatment records, in person examination, and so forth. I went to the BVA site under search decisions, you can type Dr Ellis in under" find these words" and review some of his reports. As I stated, there have been quite a few instances when the vets just didn't have the evidence and the Dr stated it was less likely than not due to, etc. That being said, if you are not receiving regular treatment for the disabilities you are claiming, it will be more difficult, I myself have flares of sle every month and go into VA urgent care for them as well. Evidence is king.
