0 vetquest
I attempted to use another forum for questions about my V.A. case and got a lot of flack. Hadit personnel have always been supportive and kind. I got help from people mentioned by Buck52, including him. In the end I won an "unwinnable" case and I am now 100%+ after ten years of fighting. Thanks to everybody. kanewnut and Tbird
0 glashutte
Hi All, I recently separated in July 2017 and am now filing my VA claim during my presumptive period. I am in the 'what do I do and how do I do it stage'. So far I've only posted a handful of times but this forum helps so much in the 3 main ways: 1. To be around other vets with shared experiences and interests 2. Valuable information from people who know 3. Puts me on track to file my VA claim. It can be lengthy and tedious and many are turned off because of that, but this forum motivates me. Tbird
0 mstmale
Thanks everyone for the information. I guess I did the impossible and got rated for weight related conditions secondary to my MH rating. I got 30% for my feet and am waiting to hear back for my knees. It is all secondary to my Depression. pctinc2001
0 shortaru
I first applied for service connection in 2005, but I had to move around so much that I never had a steady address for responses and was often out of state and couldn't check in on my claim. When I finally got a decision, it was a denial due to the VA not being able to determine service connection because of the amount of time that had passed. I finally got a steady address in 2015 and got my claim filed, just to get another denial... then I found hadit through another veteran, where I learned about the importance of a Nexus letter. I got my doctor to provide a Nexus letter, and within a month of my last C&P exam, I was rated at 70% service connected disability, thanks to hadit.com. I'll be applying for TDUI next year, armed with information from this wonderful resource. Thank you, hadit!

0 Fat
This website is priceless in helping navigate the VA process. But veterans please understand the process and put yourself in good standing to avoid headaches. The number one thing to do is getting your medical records and documenting/notating all sick call and injury visits. If you still suffer residuals, go get a test by verifiable medical means to see if the ailment is still present. Next visit a specialist, and inform him you are a veteran, suffer from a ailment, and let him see your medical records. Ask him in his honest professional opinion if it is possible the sickness/injury is related to military service. You then have the foundation for a successful claim. If I and many friends would have comprehended these first steps, the wait would have been shorter and the process navigated less stressfully. Evidence wins.
