Audie Murphy Va Medical Center Fires Two Employees... (about Time)
In Nov 2009, I had transmission problems with my handicapped adapted van. Since I am authorized vehicle adapted equipment, I sent the bill for reimbursement to the Prosthetic department at the Local va hospital. Well Three months later and I still have not been reimbursed. So I wrote a letter, asking two things...1. why do I always have to request reimbursement more than one time the rules only allow three days for you to process a request. 2. When will I be reimbursed? I got a call yesterday....... Chris Pernell was fired... and was told she was fired because she did not treat the veterans correctly. I was told that she was moving adapted equipment reimbursement …

Where Is Your Claim Tonight?
http://www.warms.vba.va.gov/admin21/m21_4/ch02.doc Maybe this will explain why your claim is taking so long. I have always said the VA takes something very simple and complicates it enormously.

President Signs Veterans Bill
Now the VA has to pay for emergency treatment or at least the part that insurance companies dont cover. President Barack Obama recently signed the Veterans' Emergency Care Fairness Act of 2009. The new law will enable the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to reimburse veterans enrolled in VA health care for the remaining cost of emergency treatment if the veteran has outside insurance that only covers part of the cost. Previously, VA could reimburse veterans or pay outside hospitals directly only if a veteran has no outside health insurance. This is information only, absolutely no political comments will be tolerated. J

Call From Va
Today, I got two messages on my cell phone and two messages on my land line from the local VA Medical Clinic. I do not know how they got my cell number. On each of the messages all the guy said was call me :) . No call back number, no extension, nada. . I called the number on the caller ID, but it was one of those numbers that you push 1 for this 2 for that 3 for who 4 for a beer 5 for something a little stronger ;) B) :D . The reason that I'm upset is that this may be for a C&P exam or something else that could have a bearing on one of my claims. Do they have to send a notice vis snail mail also? Papa

What Is The Best Way To Withdraw My Claims?
Hello members, Thank you for your responses to my last 2 posts about my claims and bad c and p exams with the same P.A. If you have not read them, please do if you choose to so you know more about what i am talking here. Anyway, I am going nuts and can't take anymore worrying so I have decided to withdraw my claims before the varo makes a decision. Why wait? I cannot get anything but I may get a reduction or my service conn taken away so I want to nip this in the bud because I cannot and do not want to deal with appeals. I know that a lot of people say not to worry about it and that the va will not reduce/sever sc but why should I wait if there is nothing to gain? Then I …

ptsd Claims Help
Hello everyone. I am new here, just signed up as I need some guidance regarding claims. I am a grunt, was in small arms infantry unit Americal Division 1969-71, my NAM tour of 11 months consisted of lengthy grounds operations and the 2 week routine company security rotation of our FSB, then back to the bush. I stopped going to the VA for help many years ago, every time I showed up for assistance for PTSD and a service related foot injury I was rudely sent out the front door and told to see my personal physician. after getting into a lot of trouble and doing time in jail I decided to suck it up and deal with these issues on my own which have resulted in a great deal of str…
