State Income Tax Exclusion
I went down to my county seat, and to the tax collector's office to see if they received my VA form for tax exemption for last year...my title company paid out of escrow, and then they told me that they need a new VA form EVERY YEAR for the 100% T&P State Tax Exemption... Is this SOP? Also, I want my taxes paid since I was awarded 100% T&P back to 2006...has anyone successfully done this, if so how...what form, or letterhead did you use? The tax collector told me that in 28 years she had never paid anyone's taxes back, I asked if anyone had pursued it...she got so angry when I asked who her boss was...she there was no one over her, it was county by county…

Disturbing Letter From Vamc
Has anyone heard of this program? I received a letter from the James Haly VAMC stating that I have been diagnosed with problems that may affect my memory, or thinking and problem solving abilities. They want me to sign up for this program at thier expense (49.95) per year. In the event that I should wander off or become lost while out of the home that they could help the local police to find me and return me home. The whole thing that I am affraid of is this a back door way to try to have me declared incompedent or what, to receive this out of a clear blue sky gives me a weird feeling and I am now scared of what they are trying to do to me. Any help, suggestions, or …

diabetes Great News And
VA has awarded me the refund of my FTCA offset. Also REPS just told me my REPS application was approved. But-the VA is trying to say that since my husband didn't know he had heart disease and diabetes (although they agree he did have these AO conditions) therefore he did not claim them in his lifetime and thus they wont apply Nehmer to my EED for DIC. Say what? They failed to consider he was MISDIAGNOSED for 6 years (documented)and this is why he didnt know he had DMII and CAD- The decision on this is an interesting read-I will ask them to CUE themselves again- it worked on their last two faulty award letters and I am appalled at their vastly faulty logic in t…

C & P Exam Report Does Not Address Dx'd Issues
Okay, so I was looking over the C & P report I got from records (again!) and something seems amiss. I'd requested adding my right foot as secondary to my left foot due to favoring the SC left foot for 20+ years. When I submitted the claim, I'd included a Statement in Support of Claim that mentioned that my right foot was dx'd with plantar faciitis, morton's neuroma, and DJD. I had a nexus from my podiatrist from when she dx'd the PF, and had signed the release of records for the RO to review my podiatry records. The podiatrist's notes clearly include the dx's I mentioned, and the latest ones include a mention that the conditions are due to my SC condition. …

Looking For A Court Case
I'm looking for the PONDS Court Case and can't find it. I think it has to do with a Chiropractor providing medical evidence on his own disability, thereby the evidence has to be weighed as probable & credible, versus lay evidence. All help is appreciated. carlie
