diabetes Sf-95 Berta, Where To Submit Form?
I Berta and all. Here is my situation in a nutshell. Back in August of 2009 I was (inadvertently) informed that I am pre-diabetic. I requested and reviewed my medical records and sure enough, my A1C is 6.3, my glucose is 157, my triglycerides were 100 point over normal, and my Body Mass Index was flagged me as needing to be on the VA MOVE (diet and weight control) program. It is now December, and my Primary Care Physician has not informed me in any way that anything is wrong. No warning letter, no consult with the Endo specialist, and I have seen my doctor since that time on multiple occasions. I have also been complaining, often, of what I now know as Peripheral N…

diabetes Dmii Agent Orange Awards And
This vet was denied an earliesr effective date. The case is a good read on how Nehmer works however- http://www4.va.gov/vetapp09/files2/0911662.txt FINDINGS OF FACT 1. VA issued liberalizing regulations effective from July 9, 2001, establishing a presumption of service connection for type II diabetes mellitus as a result of herbicide exposure in the Republic of Vietnam. 2. The Veteran's informal claim for entitlement to service connection for diabetes mellitus was received by VA on June 30, 1992; there is no evidence of any earlier formal or informal claim. 3. The veteran filed a claim of service connection for PTSD in June 1992 which the RO de…

Objective Evidence Of A Diagnosis
Going for an EED on award for DM II. What is meant by objective evidence of a diagnosis? Does it mean an actual diagnosis of DM II or a preponderance of medical evidence proving that a diagnosis should have been made prior to the actual diagnosis being made? From Apr '01 to May '02, I was tested 7 times with a fasting glucose reading with the lowest fasting test of 136 and the highest 182. During the same time frame, I also exhibited other symptoms ( PN, ED, CAD ) directly related to DM II. The VA docs finally dx'ed me with DM II in Oct '05.

Has Anyone Heard Of 2 Dro Decisions In A Row
Im kind of at a loss here. I got a DRO decision in March, 09, which awarded full benefits and I appealed based on an Earlier Effective date. I got a letter in Nov saying they are working on my "claim" for an EED? This is puzzling. I have received a SOC, and filed an I9, but they seem to be continuing my claim at the RO level. I really think they are "afraid" of the BVA for me..since I was already at the BVA in 2004 and was awarded a "complete grant of benefit sought". I contend that BVA award grants me benefits that I sought in 2002..but that the RO simply ignored. I think the RO is trying desperately to keep this out of the BVA. Has anyone had a DRO decis…

Va Pension Win!
Hey all, remember I was trying to get my WWII Father-in law (87 yold) a VA pension for aid and attendance? He got a check in the mail today that has VA pens on it. He has not received any paperwork of approval and I can't call the 1-800 number, but I guess he's approved. Does anyone know if since he is getting VA pension now, does that stop his VA co-pays for RX??? Thanks to all for the help!

Va Mail
I was told that the VA mailed out a letter on Friday about my appeal. Does that mean they sent it to their mailing system to be mailed?

No More Politics.
I don't care who starts it but if you feel that you need to defend any political party you don't need to do it here. I don't care if it is a response or a thread starter or just a rant if you do it you can expect to get a timeout where you will not be able to post for a few days. If you keep doing it than we can accommodate that also. It is disrespectful to continue to post Political garbage when asked repeatedly not to do it. I am going to clear my posts and if I see it I promise I will suspend you. No more COLA's No more Comments on Republicans or Democrats No Personal Attacks on Members Be polite use your manners and be kind many who come here are suff…

Thank You To Tbird, Pete, Berta, Carlie And Other Moderators
I would like to thank TBird, Pete, BERTA, and Carlie and other moderators. Yes, I know you have to make judgement calls that sometimes others are unhappy with..which posts to close, etc. These calls really are for the good of all, we want this to be for Veterans, and not to further anyones political agenda. This board is much better than Veterans Benefit Network, tho some people here are also on VBN. My sincere thank you for your sevice, you have volunteered countless hours with a goal of helping Veterans. Merry Christmas to all. May God Bless

Timetowinarace
x x x Timetowinarace posted a thread about the moderators closing topics, but the mods closed his topic too. I wanted to be able to respond to him, that I understand his frustrations with censure. Sometimes, it is unwarranted. We are adults, and should be able to emote without being punished. I am already walking on egg shells at home, trying to paint on the happy face. Shouldn't I be able to come to Hadit and be with adults that do not judge me for feeling human? ~Wings

I Think My Vso Missed A Deadline
Sorry that my first post caused some members to leave Hadit and that my first topic was closed but I really need help from some senior members of HADIT. Although I do not post much, I have been a member of HADIT since way prior to the new Hadit website in 2003. In 2003 I filed my claims for Multiple Sclerosis. After the VA decision which missed my fatigue, ulcer and under rated right side disabilities, I filed a NOD telling the VA they missed my fatigue due to MS (causing me to only be able to work 25% of my time which is a 60% disability, ulcer due to meds 10%, and that my right side diabilities should be increased in rating from 20% and 10% to 40% and 20% respecti…
