Diagnosed Arthritic Knee
For years while I was in the military, I complained about pain in my right knee. Now, two years after I retire, I finally get the doctor to send me to an orthopedic specialist and he ordered an MRI. The result was a miniscus that is torn in two places and now I need arthroscopic surgery. This is not to say that I do not have arthritis, because I do. My knee is currently rated at 10% for the arthritis. Has anybody had any expereince in asking for an increase in this situation?

Benefits Of A Medical Discharge
A while back Alex mentioned there were some monetary benefits to getting a medical discharge over a regular discharge. What would those benefits be if anyone knows. I think I have evidence that I should have gotten a medical discharge instead of a regular discharge. This would be going back over 35 years so I am not so sure it is worth it, but if it is I would like to know.

100% Concurrent Receipt And Dfas Backpay
I think we may have some good news coming soon, won't believe it until I see it in writing. This is a case where a 90% rated veteran is reportedly awarded 100%, retro'd back to August 2003. He's retired military, and has only been receiving a portion of his retirement pay since the law granting concurrent receipt went into effect sometime in 2004. As a 100% disabled veteran, he would now be collecting 100% of his retirement. However, DFAS does not pay retro, from my understanding. Is he just tough outta luck for the thousands of dollars difference in concurrent receipt that he wasn't paid since 2004 when the law began? If this is the case, it would be nice if I …

Unreal Answer From Varo
I called up the VA SCM (Service Center Manager) at Little Rock. I ask her if I needed any more IMO's (Independent Medical Evaluation). This is what she told me: You have diagnosis for all of your claims, no IMO's needed. You have histories on all of your claims from end of service to present. You have stressors to all of your claims. She said that they are, once again, waiting for the stressors to be verified. This was the last thing that I suspected. I was thinking about Diagnosis or Nexus documentation. I also have six buddy letters, letters that were there, one from my X-wife (haven't seen for 30 years). Also two sworn blue ink, certified notary…

He has put in for a new primary care dr. because of the ongoing problems with the current one. Her lastest was this.....Dr. SOand SO called me this afternoon. Told me she could not prescribe Tramadol because it would conflict with my depression medicine. ( I wonder if it was Welbutrin or that %&%#$ she put me on) I asked for anything else. She told me to take Ibuprofin and that I had an appointment with the pain clinic. I asked, ?So, I guess I?ll just have to stay in pain until then?? After that, I called the TAP again, and ca…
