Just Got Home From C&p Exam
Good afternoon, I had an exam today at 1:15. It was done by a nurse for a chronic issue I have had due to my service connected medications. I handed the nurse my IMO from my VA doc and she said it was already in my notes and didn't need to read it. I was like "HUH?" I then said, "This is a letter that the doc did off the chart, not in notes." She read it and she said, "well, I will look at the notes." I could tell she didn't want to read because of her attitude. She said, MMMMMMMM. Looks like you might have an issue here. I said, Darn right, and it's been going on for over a year now. I then started to explain my symptoms and how often they occur and she interrupted…

Another Cp Exam
I am rated 10% left knee and 30% depression. I applied for increase in rating for depression and also bilateral hearing loss with tinnitus. I had both the psych cp and hearing test back in April. Yesterday I got a letter from QTC for a left knee CP in two weeks. Why would the VA schedule a knee exam, when there was no request for increase for my knee? Is this a delaying tactic by the VA? are they trying to bury me in paperwork?

ptsd C&p Exams
I received two letters for C&P exams on two different dates. It doesn't state what they are for. One is on the floor that I go to for my PTSD meds so I would figure thats what one is for. The other could be for one of two other claims that I sent in. How will I know what this if for, can I call up and check. Both exams say to bring all your meds with you. Its all the computer at the VA which meds I take, no big deal. I would not like to walk into an interview and be blindsided and not know whats going on. Bill

Intervertrbral Disc Syndrome?
Hello fellow vets, I'm supposed to be having a second c&p exam soon for Degen. Disc Disease. Since being disgnosed in 1996 I often have flare-ups of severe pain that may last from 3 to 7 days each episode, caused by inflamation to a damaged nerve. When these happen I have to go to bed and take pain meds, usually dilaudid, to get any relief until the damaged nerve settles down. Over the past year I have been in bed with this problem between 8 to 12 weeks, combined, taking the meds that the surgeon prescribed for these flare-ups. My question#1 Can anyone tell me if the examiner, after hearing the above, is the one that changes the code to Intervertebral Disc S…

Cp Exam
Hello everyone, I just had a C&P exam done 2 days ago. 1.How long is the wait time to find out the results? Or at least an average wait time? 2. The examiner told me to mail all the papers (doctor notes) I brought in for the exam. He did review them (quickly) but is this the correct procedure? 3. Are examiners supposed to "hands on" move you in order to test your gait/flexibility when laying down? When laying down he moved my legs up/down, side to side, bent knees? He didn't do any hands on other than that though. FYI This is my second C&P since 1998 when I did my first. This is for an change in 2 conditions (increase I hope) and to change a denial…

Back And Spine Ratings
Does anyone out there have any experiences with having a incorrect VA rating? I currently receive 20% percent VA disability rating and the VA has it classified as "BACK STRAIN" and "ARTHRITIS". It is well documented in my medical records that my back injury occured while on active duty back in 1998. Degenerative Disk Disease (DDD) does not sound like a "Back Strain" and "Arthritis". Back in March, I submitted a VA Form 21-4138 (Statement in Support Of Claim) to get my VA rating increased from 20% percent. On May 9th the VA Regional Office (Wichita, KS) set me up for a C&P (Comp and Pension) exam. The examiner was not a doctor or specialist to no surprise at all, an…

diabetes Cad And Htn
I am currently suffering complications from AO-diabetes and PTSD. I also have CAD(stint) and HTN which I am going to file a claim for. I have seen different claims on the internet where people claimed CAD and HTN were secondary to diabetes and others saying CAD and HTN were secondary to PTSD. I guess its the doctor that they use that will dictate whice way you go.. My heart doctor is relucant to write something for me but he wasted no time charging my insurance 48 grad for the procedure. I'm not sure which way to go with this. Bill
