C&p Audio Clinc Question
I just found this web site and have some concerns with up coming C&P appointments. 1. I have a C&P Audio schedule for 7/6/09 in Memphis 2. I have a C&P Audio schedule for 7/10/09 in Memphis Is it common for VA to schedule two appointments for the same type of test? I files for hearing lost and tinnitus in Oct 2007 and just now getting an appointment. I must state at this time I do not trust the VA claim process. I am going into this process expecting the person giving me the test will use some tricks. I am concerned about the procedure Thanks in advance for any feedback Ken

Copy Of C@p Exam Results/during Rating Review
Is it wise to ask for a copy of the C@P results while your claim is still being decided. I am thinking it could slow down the rating decision is this a sound thought process. Have a outstanding 4th of July.

One More C&p - Mh
Next c&p scheduled is for mh. Preparing my ducks now, it's for iu and mdd is 30% just now. Ssdi was for other health issue 60% and didnt mention mh at all. I read the rating criteria and see 'occupation' etc, and other things that I really think support my request, so am working on that. If anyone has advice, all ears here. Thanks, Cowgirl'up2009!

Should I Mail Imo
I have a upcoming C&P exam and I have a surgeon preparing an IMO in support of my case. My question; Should I go ahead and mail this to the RO that now has the remanded case from the BVA, or should I wait and take it with me to the exam and give it to the exam doctor. Next question; My claim was filed in May of 2004. Should I go ahead and request medical record from 2004 to present, since they could be relivant and send them to th RO, or wait and let them request them? THANKS in ADVANCE FOR YOUR COMENTS!!! C&p Retake, Can Old Exam Be Used?
My question of the day. Been notified for a 'retake' physical exam. I recall being hopeful with the other iu exam until I got the results. I do have the exam worksheet and rating criteria. I know to carry along information that shows my conditions have increased in treatment and care. My concern, what if the doc use the 'old' exam that says I am good for sedentary? Or, if same doc does the retake, could make me real nervous. Will get appointment letter soon, guess I'll know then. Just trying to get ready. Any advice appreciated Thank you, your Hadit Cowgirl

C&p
I got my letter from the C&P office and they have me booked all day so I called them and asked why. They told me I was booked for a 5 hour comp exam with this PA, I am going from 10-12 lunch break and then 1230 - 3pm, I will probably only be there until 2 he will use the other hour to write the exam up. Please tell me this is common. Has anyone every had this long of a comp exam for range of motion of the ankles, knees, SI, shoulders and hands. Along with the HD but there isn't much to that one. I am thinking this is a nice set up job for a denial. Ruby

ptsd I Helping A Vet And Need Help!
I was wondering if anyone knows what procedures there are when you are not related to a veteran but you are helping them apply for VA pension and/or compensation. I have a friend with severe PTSD, depression and social disorders, Mild schizophrenia (all diagnosed by VA), and physical disabilities. He is at the point where he can now longer focus enough to red the VA forms let alone fill them out, get his records or withstand some of the tests. He has tried starting the process in the past but just ends up falling into a big vat of depression and anxiety and VA has now turned him down 4 times due to lack of evidence, mainly because he just tunes out to it all. I have o…

tdiu Bva Remand-persumptive Connection
While participating in a training exercise in Egypt during October ’95, I pulled on a metal parts box and felt a sharp pain in my back, down in my left leg. At the time I thought I had just pulled a muscle in my lower back that wasn’t serious so I didn’t report it. I only had a couple weeks to go before returning home and I really thought I would be okay by then. However when I got home in early November it had only gotten worse. I tried heat treatments, anti-inflammatory meds and bed rest but nothing helped. On 12/11/1995 I went to my family doctor who initially prescribed muscle relaxers, pain meds and bed rest. He asked how I hurt my back and I told him that I hurt…

ptsd C&p Exam Advice
I have read quite a large number of posts from everyone regarding horror stories at c&p exams, especially PTSD exams. I know first hand as I was told during my exam for a NOD that I "have not played the game long enough" and that "I needed to wait a few years, then I'll get it". Anyway, I just thought of this, maybe someone else has mentioned it I don't know. I think that everytime we have these exams we should bring a small tape recorder and record the BS, don't mention the recorder until after the exam and see how their attitude changes. This would sure turn heads if the public could see what we go through. Another sad misconseption, the doctors at the VAMC and…

ptsd 100% Sc When In Hosp. (va Paragraph 29)
I went to a locked down unit on Dec. 10, 2007. (Sheridan, Wy. VAMC) I was transfered to a (SNU) special needs unit on Dec. 17, 2007. (Sheridan, Wy. VAMC) I was then discharged to a residential PTSD program on Dec. 19, 2007 (Sheridan, Wy. VAMC) I graduated from the residential PTSD program (at the VAMC), and was sent home to attend follow ups at the VA clinic after completing the program on Jan. 30, 2008. Do I qualify for 100% in this timeframe according to VA paragraph 29?

C & P Doctors
A VA shrink told me he "will do the Veteran's C & P". He is referring to a Veteran he is seeing and treating in a VA Contract Clinic. I asked him if he meant he would "do the Nexus" and he relpied that he clearly meant he would do the C & P. So, he treats the Vet with medication, sees the Vet in his office for "talk" therapy, and he CAN DO the Vet's C & P. Isn't there something wrong with that picture? I can't find the answer to this elsewhere. Anyone point me to some VA authority on this question. Thanks! AZform
