C&P Exam scheduled in different state
I just got notification of a C&P exam I have been waiting on since 2013. It is scheduled in a different state from where I live. Driving time to this location is just under 4 hours. That's one way, round trip driving is about 8 hours. We have plenty of medical and VA locations much closer that that to me. Is this normal for C&P exams?

Can my Thai GF of 3 years submit evidence for my claim?
Ok. I am in the midst of a review. The actual review with the doctor is this Friday. In 2010 at 52 I was awarded 100% disability due to a service connected mental disorder (Non-PSTD.) I live in Thailand and have for over 4 years. I am soon to be 59 and have a Thai GF of three years that lives with me. She knows me. She has seen me at my most intimate times. She knows how my very real disability manifests in my daily life. I am not talking about small stuff like just being moody. But how sometimes I am in bed all day and or walking around the house, dealing with voices, thoughts and feelings…. struggling with my disease. How I hardly leave the house and d…

Questions about an unexpected c&p exam
Hello, i recently had my c&p exam. It was not what I expected. I was evaluated for lower back problems that is very well documented in my military records. I have had spinal injections, pain meds chiropractic adjustments and pt. I also have psoriasis. The locations that I get psoriasis are well documented by the army dermatologist. The examiner was a former military doc. He seemed like a nice enough guy. Fist we talked about my back and he did my range of motion which wasn't much. I had looked online to see what to expect from the exam to know how much pain I was gonna be in. That was the extent of the back exam. As far as the psoriasis he asked me when I was di…

lumbosacral C&P exam for SI joint/SI crest pain
On the 14th I had a C&P exam for SI joint/crest pain. The examiner used the low back dbq for the exam. Question, if so, then what ever findings would just be lumped in with the low back rating, right? That was the idea the examiner was trying to convey to me, that the max is 40%, which I already have. If so, then, would the SI crest pain, which is a pretty nasty burning sensation, be secondary to the low back? I know it gets a separate rating, since I had already looked it up on the rating chart. That exam was so...bogus, for lack of more polite way to say it. I wrote a pretty lengthy new topic post for that, first thing this morning, but as soon as I hit …

tdiu Would Calling Help Speed My Claim Up
The person rating my VA disability claim left his work phone number on one of the documents on a C&P Exam page. Should I call them and ask them if they can speed my claim up? I have filed for TDIU. Based on the results from the C&P Exam it the boxes for 70 % were not checked. I am waiting to hear back from the VA about scheduling a C&P exam for Sexual Dysfunction. That is the last part of my claim that needs to be addressed. However Christmas is coming up, I really need the money. Is it a good idea to call the person rating my claim and ask them to settle the TDIU part, and pay me (if and when) the sexual dysfunction part is approved…

Back and Knees C&P
Sorry all. I previously started a thread but couldnt edit it to include my C&Ps. This claim was for an increase on my Left Knee and Back and Right Knee secondary to my left knee. Anyone care to give a guess at percentages? Im already at 10% for tinnitus and 0% for left knee. Provide description and/or etiology: Pain is the functional limitation impacting the veteran's abilities during flare-ups. The exam today WAS NOT DURING A FLARE-UP and the veteran was able to perform repetitive range of motion maneuvers. In summary, it is not practical or feasible to express additional limitation in terms of additional ROM loss as thi…

VA Ordered a Second C&P But Did Not Use The Results
I had a C&P last September. The PhD diagnosed me as having anxiety, depression secondary to the tbi. In my latest results there is no mention of this C&P. It would appear that the rater did not give any merit to these new diagnoses. Is it a common occurrence for a rater to 'pick and choose' or do they have to go with the diagnoses that give the benefit to the veteran. This of course requires that the two C&P exams were performed by equally competent professionals. Or is there something else I am missing? I am trying to deal with what I consider a loss (by writing and talking about it). I appreciate any input. Thank you
