How long does it take exams to post?
I will try to be brief. I have 5 new claims in GOE since I filed 27 Sep 2016. My primary claim is for PTSD related to personal assault. DVSO has told me my stressor has been accepted, and my DBQ appears very favorable. That exam was on 13 April 2017. I also have claims for upper back and neck, related to auto accident while on active duty, and bilateral foot problems (bunion surgeries and pin implants done several years after retirement), caused or exacerbated by the military not having my size shoes for the first several years of enlistment (I'm 6'2" female, and shoes were 1-1 1/2 sizes too small). The exams for these claims were done 10 April 2017. There …

C&P exam in absentia
I found a C&P exam entered into my medical record on a claim I have pending. The C&P exam was obviously biased and done by a PA. I did not receive any notice or asked to challenge it. I have a Nexus statement from a VA doctor that my medical condition supports my claim which is not cited. I know the VA make up its own rules, but is this common practice? Do I have a right to challenge its validity?

back and hip c&p exam
I had my lower back (increase) and hip (new) c & p exam yesterday, my appointment was at 9 am, I pulled up in the parking lot about 820 did not want to be late. I walk with a cane and I found it unusual that as I am unhooking my gps the dr office called and told me I could come on in. Were they waiting and watching to see how I walked, then the exam only lasted about 8 minutes, how normal is this?

lumbosacral CERVICAL SPINE
I currently have a claim in for herniated discs and sciatica as a secondary condition to my service connected lumbarsacral strain. My claim was in the Prep for Decision Phase a week ago but now has been kicked back to the Gathering of Evidence Phase and a C&P exam and medical opinion has been requested by the rater because of a new condition that I have that has been noticed since I filed my claim in Sept 2016. Apparently the rating saw that I have a CT Scan in my file that shows that I have Minimal levoscoliosis. No Signifcant abnormality of alignment. Vertebral body heights are preserved. Mild to moderate disk degeneration is present at C3-C4 C4-C5 and C6-C7. At mos…

degenerative arthritis friend looking for a WAG
Sorry i can not figure out how to format this better... But long story short i am posting this for a friend since both her and I are confused on how this either of these 2 DBQS read. on one hand the examiner seems say yes and then later on says no but maybe so but then probably not but mostly yes, so if any one can translate all this that would be awesome since this is a 10 year old claim that was remand to the AMC for further development. Back (Thoracolumbar Spine) Conditions Disability Benefits Questionnaire Name of patient/Veteran: XXXXXXXX Is this DBQ being…

Hi everyone this is my first time posting but i’ve been reading things on here for a few months now. I have my disability claim in and i’ve gone through my c&p exam and it’s still pending. But my question is simply if the doctor diagnoes you with something other then you put on your claim do you have to make a new one to get rated for that diagnosis? Edit: ok so to explain more i put in for anxiety even though i was suffering from other symptom while in the military aftrr my c&p the doctor said i have schizophrenia and happened while in service. So do i now have to re submit for schizophrenia?

Compensation Exam
Good morning everyone, I just had my compensation exam yesterday(yes on Easter Sunday) and while it seemed like a fairly thorough exam in some aspects, in other aspects it seemed a little light. I suppose the goal was to fill out the forms vs paint an accurate individual picture of what's going on. While I'm not completely dissatisfied I did feel like when the range of motion portion came around I was pressured to go beyond pain and well out of my comfort zone, is this normal? I suffer from severe lower back pain and when the exam was over I was getting spasms for quite some time. I told the doc and asked for some advil to help me out a little but he was not a…

DBQ QUESTION
Hi I had a C&P exam in Feb 2017 the examiner wrote the following: The examination is neither medically consistent or inconsistent with the Veteran's statements describing functional loss with repetitive use over time and the examination is neither medically consistent or inconsistent with the Veteran's statements describing functional loss during flare-ups. Can you tell me what does this mean?

C&P Exam results for skin and nasal injury/scar
Hello Good People at Hadit, I recently got the exam report from a c&p done less that 2 weeks ago. I will post the results below. I have a few questions about the report and the expectation of the service connected rating scale. For the DBQ for Skin Diseases it states: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Evidence reviewed (check all that apply): [X] VA e-folder (VBMS or Virtual VA) [X] CPRS 1. Diagnosis: ------------- Does the Veteran now have or has he/she ever had a skin condition? [X] Yes [ ] No [X] Dermatitis or e…

Am I missing something?
I will continually see Veterans who post portions or all of the text from a C&P Exam. It's obvious they are copying and pasting from something. In the past none of my C&P exams have been available in MyHealthyVet (Blue Button). When I do a Health Record search it will show the C&P appointment but say "You May not View this completed exam." I've always gone to the records section of the VA Hospital and gotten a paper copy. So how are you guys getting the electronic version? What am I missing? Thanks

ptsd Another PTSD exam? Already 70% SC'd! What!?
Hi All, Filed a claim in 2016 for a few increases and a secondary claim for Agoraphobia. I am already rated 70% for PTSD that includes panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. My claim went to gathering of evidence from Prep for decision. I had 2 other exams for this claim, one for my testicles and the other for hearing. It appears they forgot the 3rd C&P exam for agoraphobia? After speaking with the VA, they told me I have another exam regarding PTSD. Does anyone think because I asked for agoraphobia as a secondary condition to PTSD is why they're requesting another C&P? I was SC'd in 2010 for PTSD. Thanks!!

Major Depressive Disorder C&P
I am currently rated 30% for Migraines, and 0% for Restless Leg Syndrome. These are both SC'd from service in the Gulf. I recently had a C&P for MDD. Very nice Doctor. Asked me a lot of questions from childhood on. I was then asked to answer a 20 question questionnaire regarding how I feel. Does anyone know what this is, and what it is used for? Doctor also recommended I make an appt and be seen by VA Psych. Not sure what GAF score was, but doctor stated I was in moderate to severe range. Hope the outcome is good. What was that 20 question questionnaire, and how do you think I stand with the claim?
