Ok guys and gals, im back after a few months with more information. So for a little background, my effective date is 12/12/16. It moved to prep for decision in 2 weeks and stayed there for a few months. then it went back to gathering evidence, at which time i recieved a phone call scheduling me for an exam on march 25. 10 minutes later they called back saying i could come in for an exam tomorrow (which was march 1st). I attended my c&p exam for bipolar/depression- and the examiner concluded the exam by telling me to go directly to MH because im not mentally healthy or stable. I have the results from ROI, i scanned them, and posted them onlin…

Heart Condition DBQ and Heart Rating
Hello I have a claim in for increase of my SC Heart Condition (CAD) which is currently rated at 10%. My military records show that I had a Myocardial Infarction in Sept 1990 while deployed on the USS John F Kennedy. I had a C&P exam on Feb 11, 2017 and the examiner did note on the DBQ that I had the MI in Sept 1990. It also appears that the examiner cut/pasted into the DBQ my last appt with my VA Cardiologist (Oct 2016). It says " CC: 1st visit today. Pt w/ h/o chronic, stable angina - reported chest pain in service in Sept 1990 - Had NL MPI. Has undergone Heart CATHS in 1993 and 2008 which were NL except as noted below - advised he likely has microvascular disease …

lumbosacral DBQ CLARIFICATION FOR LOWER BACK
I am looking at one of my DBQ for Back (Thoracolumbar Spine) Conditions for which i have file for a increase evaluation for my S/C Lumbosacral Strain. The following is what the C&P Examiner wrote verbatim "The examination is neither medically consistent or inconsistent with the Veteran's statements describing functional loss with repetitive use over time". What does the mean. I am currently rated at 70% P/T with IU. The Social Security Administration has found me disabled as well because of my service connected back and cardiac conditions. A Medical Expert testified at my social security disability hearing as to the extent and severity of my service connected conditi…

C & P exam
Recently I had a C & P for my feet, (currently filed a NOD). While there the doctor asked if I ever filed a claim for my lipomas. Said I didn't know I could. She called me the next day explaining they clearly started on active duty and to file a claim for skin, scaring, and multiple lipomas. Two weeks ago I drove an hour to my C&P exam where the doctor took pictures and measurements ect. Today The doctor called me saying there was a mix up and she was told to remove the dercums diagnosis from the report and don't report on the lipomas, only the scars. Now I might have to go back as they want photos and measurements of all scars not just the 3 that are prob…

hearing loss secondary conditions to migraine
I am currently rated for severe/chronic migraines which have been diagnosed by ENT and Neuro as also being vestibular migraines. (which is a symptom of migraines and not a separate diagnosis) I applied for tinnutis secondary to migraines as well as peripheral vestibular disorder. This would be very similar to Menieres, without the progressively hearing loss but with debilitating migraines with bouts of vertigo and dizziness as well as ear fullness, balance issues and tinnitus. I was shocked to see that in myhealthyvet an audiologist had been sent my records and determined that it is not service connected and there is not evidence to show that. The …

C&P exam - sleep apnea secondary to sinusitis
Hi all, good site and good information. So I was diagnosed by my VA doc with obstructive sleep apnea last year. They gave me a CPAP machine as a result of the sleep study. Earlier this year I was given a 0% service connection for sinusitis. About a month ago, I put in a claim for sleep apnea secondary to my 0% sinusitis disability. There's no sleep apnea in my service records. I'm assuming that I had sleep apnea while in the service because nothing had changed and the wife tells me I snore the same... Today, I was scheduled for 2 C&P exams at the Houston VA Center. Any idea why there are two exams? Any idea what the exams will entail? I want to b…
