ptsd Ptsd Supporting Documents
I have a question as to how a neuropsychological test would factor into a PTSD claim. I will list some of the findings in the report to see what you guys think of it. Also are TBI and PTSD one of the conditions that can not be rated separately? I am currently rated 40% for TBI waiting for an increase decision to 70%. Some of the report findings: Pattern of responses that suggest higher-than-average psychological distress with a range of symptoms, including but not limited to experiences of bothersome, unwanted thoughts and behaviors (SCL-90-R OC: 99th%ile); dysphoric mood marked predominantly by pervasive unhappiness loss of motivation and/or apathy, and pess…

ptsd Fear, What Is The Reason
I have held my Vietnam time inside since 1969. I have had very little conversations about it. I was so proud of what I did by the direction of the officers in charge. My real fear, is now I suppose to tell the true story, of what happe in Vietnam I am scared to death, that I will lose my stern, non flexible demeener. I have been trying to talk myself out of asking for PTSD treament Do I really need to do this. My life is almost over. Is it going to worth it, \ will it do any good. My fellows brothers are dead, I didn't help them then, how is this help them now My nightmare of killing a female NVA, will never go away, and I will never know if its true. I just can'…

Filing Claim Finally!
met with voc rehab guy yesterday who is walking me thru my claim. showed him all my medical records and va m/h records. his words...."ur sittin on a gold mine with this documentatioin!" so, he told me how to word it as to avoid being delayed/rejected. im so excited and yet nervous and anxious at the same time. i guess the anxious/nervous comes in knowing that i have to do the dreaded c & p exam. every time i go over the details of the trauma, it sets me back for weeks. i cant function afterwards. its like it just rips my soul out of me. any way....voc rehab sd i was looking at a min of 50-70%. he also told me to file for hardship since i filed for bankruptc…

Nightmares Again
Well, it has been another night filled with nightmares and sad memories. Saw where my good friend SGMdae was on watch earlier. He's a good man. Two tours in RVN-both in the bush. He was actually surrounded one night by a NVA patrol and lived to talk about it. There is actually a Stars and Stripes article about it. Tonight's nightmares was not as bad as a few nights ago. It helps to be able to sit down and tell (type LOL) about it. Thank you Hadit for being there. Normally I spend hours staring out the windows going from window to window looking at the treelines. Tonight has been easier. Besides--faithful K-9 Private Bubbles (MOS Yorkie) decided to provi…

ptsd Va Requirements For Sc Disability
Hello fellow Veterans. I am a newbie so this is my first post. I'm kinda nervous so please forgive any mistakes. I was in the Air Force from Jul 63 to Jul 67 and have a couple questions for the VA experts. First though I would like to commend the members of Hadit for your tremendously valuable service to veterans. Here's a little background on me. I was severely abused psychologically and physically by a mean sadistic alcoholic father. Strangely, he was more sadistic when sober than drunk. I grew up on a farm in Nebraska and went to a High School that was 27 miles from home. Two weeks after I started High School he killed my mother with a …
