Need Help With A Situation
So my VSO supposedly sent in my evidence for the claim last week. Everyone pretty much says to fire the guy and handle it myself or get a new one. I sent him an email asking him a few questions. First question was "What day did was the pkg sent to the VARO and how was it sent." His response to that question was. "It left my office this week." Well I went in last week and picked up a copy of the pkg. At least a supposed copy of the pkg. It has a cover on it addressed to the VA. I can't get a straight answer from this guy. He has become rude and abrupt. I have done nothing to deserve this treatment other than ask him to call me back or respond to my emails…

ptsd Need Advise
I am a Vietnam Marine combat veteran, have been struggeling with PTSD since 1968, self medicated like a lot of us did, though it was just me. Finally went to VAMC for other medical problems and the primary doctor sent me to the PCT clinic where I was diagnosed with PTSD, have all the symptoms and problems that go with it, trouble sleeping, flashbacks, violent temper, sustance abuse (now sober). Put in claim for Tinninitus and hearing loss last December and PTSD last month. VAMA shrink tells me I need therapy and I can choose between residential @ 4 weeks or outpatient @ 12 weeks, I told them residential. Now they're telling me there is a long waiting list for residen…

C & P Today At 11:00am
I'm not as nervous about the outcome as I am about setting in a strangers office sharing my life with them. Thanks to my Advocate my Ducks are straggling all over the place but I have to take some of the ownership of that myself. I decided to take the whole day off work so I wouldn't have to rush back to work after the appt. I suspect it will be a total emotional drain on me therefore I wouldn't be much help at my job. I know I'm just rambling, it is 5:15am and I haven't had enough coffee yet or smoked enough cigarettes yet to be wide awake and ready to go. I have heard that our local office is one of the best in the nation at working with their veterans and help…

Rc'd Copy Of My File The Vso Has Put Together
I assume some of these things can only help not hurt my case. I cannot remember having been put on Valuim while in the Army. But according to med records I was. They also had me on Darvon for my extreme headaches. It is written all over my med records that I had mental problems and psychological issues. This is all following the assault. I was a good little recruit prior to the attack and a total mess afterward up until the last stmt written about me by the military when they basically kicked me out due to it. As I have said before on the med record where I was hauled into the hospital in an ambulance someone went back at a later date and wrote in smaller letters squeezin…

ptsd Visit With Vso And Followup
So he has PTSD and I assume understands the symptoms and all. He ignored me for months when I would call or email. It took going to his supervisor to get in to see him and get him to act on my claim. When I first went in he was going to request the records from the crime. It has now been 9 mths and he still doesn't have those records. He felt they were very important to prove my claim at the time. While I was setting there he got on the phone called some "supposed" detective at Ft Dix requesting he call him back. Me "unimpressed" I don't trust big shows. Because of my PTSD I don't trust him either. So he pkgd up my claim and was sending it in yesterday A.M. supposedly! I …

ptsd Ptsd Due To Mst *triggers*
While I was in the Army I was assaulted by a permanent party SGT and I was a trainee at AIT in New Jersey. I was set up to lose the court case by my legal council provided by the military. They rushed me off the base to another where I ended up with a suicide attempt. Then they pushed me out of the service as quickly as possible. I have fought this battle for almost 35yrs and can't do it alone anymore. I have filed a claim for benefits and compensation. Of course the base cannot locate the criminal claim file now. I am seeing an independent Dr who has diagnosed me with PTSD and all that goes with it. She will be putting her pkg together for me to take to my C & P ap…
